Skin treatment device with output regulation

Abstract

A skin treatment device is provided, comprising: an electrode configured to be in conductive contact with a user's skin; a high frequency electromagnetic signal generator configured to supply a high frequency electromagnetic signal to the electrode such that high frequency electromagnetic energy is applied to the skin; first and second temperature sensors configured to measure a temperature of the skin; and a processor in operative communication with the high frequency electromagnetic signal generator, the processor configured to execute program instructions that cause the processor to control the high frequency electromagnetic signal generator to vary an output of high frequency electromagnetic energy applied to the skin based on the measured temperature of the skin in accordance with an output-temperature relationship so as to maintain a target temperature of the skin.
