Abstract

The transcritical refrigeration gas cooler assembly comprises at least one gas cooler-condenser, at least one evaporator, and an expansion valve, wherein the at least one gas cooler-condenser has an inlet and an outlet, the inlet being configured to receive carbon dioxide (CO2) refrigerant from the exhaust line of the refrigeration system; the at least one evaporator has an inlet and an outlet, the inlet being fluidly connected downstream of the outlet of the at least one gas cooler-condenser; and the expansion valve being positioned upstream of the inlet of the at least one evaporator.
