Abstract

The present invention provides a liquid crystal lens and belongs to the art of liquid crystal lenses. The liquid crystal lens includes a first electrode module, liquid crystal molecules, and a second electrode module. The first electrode module includes a first electrode group in which M electrode regions are sequentially fitted, a data line group, a scan line group, and a scan connection line group. Each electrode region includes N annular first electrodes sequentially fitted. The M electrode regions are turned on one by one via the scan line, a target voltage is output on the data line to charge the storage capacitor corresponding to the first electrode, and after charging is complete, the TFT of the electrode region is turned off via the scan line. This process is carried out until the first electrode of the last electrode region is charged, completing the writing of one frame of signal. This invention enables independent control and driving of each electrode of an active liquid crystal lens, precise control of the phase distribution, realization of parabolic and arbitrary free-form surface phase distributions, and simultaneously compensation for non-uniform effects due to process deviations.
