Abstract
The present invention provides a method and system for encrypting media transmitted and received between users in streaming format. One embodiment of the encryption method includes the steps of: generating a plurality of encrypted unit files encrypted with a random key using a media file transmitted in streaming format; generating a hash value for each of the plurality of encrypted unit files; and sending a proof containing a set of files including the plurality of encrypted unit files and the hash values for each of the plurality of encrypted unit files to a server that provides a streaming transmission function for the media file.
