Secure sharing of user information using near-field communication

Abstract

The embodiment enables secure information exchange using lightweight data and near-field communication (NFC). A user can transmit lightweight data, such as one or more identifiers (e.g., user identifier, range identifier, document identifier, etc.), to a receiving computing system via the user's wireless device and the NFC protocol. Because NFC transmission is performed by devices located in the same location, this lightweight data transmission can trigger and / or continue advanced workflows. For example, the receiving computing system can be associated with a product or service provider, and the lightweight data transmission can advance workflows related to specific products and / or services. The advancement of the workflow may include accessing secure user information via identifiers received by NFC transmission.
