Abstract
Here, a cover for a medical injection device is provided, the cover comprising an outer casing and an inner casing, the inner casing defining a cavity configured to receive at least a portion of the hub portion of the medical injection device and to form a seal with it. An RFID tag is incorporated within the cover and comprises an RFID chip and an RFID antenna operably connected to the RFID chip. The RFID antenna comprises a first tag dipole provided on the first side of the RFID chip and a second tag dipole provided on the second side of the RFID chip. The RFID tag is oriented such that the dipole axis of the RFID tag is approximately aligned with the longitudinal axis of the cover.
