Abstract

A catheter assembly may include a catheter, a controller, and an internal power supply. The catheter may include a catheter tube and a catheter hub, the proximal end portion of the catheter tube may be located within the catheter hub. The catheter tube may incorporate multiple piezoelectric transducers along its length. The multiple piezoelectric transducers may be configured as multiple vibrators for vibration, thereby suppressing the accumulation of biomaterial on the luminal or non-luminal surface of the catheter tube by vibration along its length when the catheter tube is placed in the vascular system. The controller may include a processor and memory, and the controller may be configured to control at least multiple piezoelectric transducers. The internal power supply may be configured to power the controller and the multiple piezoelectric transducers.
