Abstract

The present invention relates to an apparatus comprising at least one separation device 12 housed within an apparatus housing 10, wherein the at least one separation device 12 has a bellows body 14 having individual bellows folds 16, and the at least one separation device 12 fluidly seals and separates two medium chambers 18, 20 within the apparatus housing 10, wherein a monitoring device 22 is provided to determine the position of each of the bellows bodies 14 within the apparatus housing 10, and the monitoring device has a displacement sensor 24 based on the physical principle of magnetostriction.
