17. The bed system according to any one of the prior claims, wherein the mattress has a recessed portion defined at the first end.
18. The bed system according to claim 17, wherein a portion of the mattress at the first end is removable so as to define the recessed portion.
19. The bed system according to any one of the prior claims, further comprising an elastic cover extending to cover the upper end of the opening of the mattress.
20. The bed system according to any one of the prior claims, wherein the mattress is a non-inflatable mattress.
21. A method of using the bed system according to any one of the prior claims, comprising adjusting the height of the pillow by optionally changing the range of inflation of the inflatable portion of the pillow in order to adjust the range in which the pillow fills the vertical range of the opening.
