Methods and apparatus for managing and utilizing the mapping between identifiers and blockchain addresses.

Abstract

Methods and apparatus are provided for managing and utilizing the mapping between WTRU identifiers and blockchain addresses. In some implementations, the method may include the steps of: sending a first registration request to a first network node, which includes a first identifier of a WTRU associated with a wireless network; and receiving a first registration approval message from the first network node, which includes an authorized second identifier of a WTRU associated with a native wireless blockchain, and an indicator of a WTRU identifier preference (WTRU-ID-preference) for use in future registration updates. The method may also include the steps of: storing the authorized second identifier of a WTRU; sending a first registration update message to the first network node, the first registration update message including the authorized second identifier of a WTRU; and receiving a second registration approval message from the first network node, which includes an indicator of a WTRU-ID-preference.
