Abstract

Embodiments of the present invention provide a focusing method, apparatus, electronic device, and storage medium. When applying embodiments of the present invention, the target focusing position of the image acquisition device can be determined based on the trend of changes in the image quality score of images of target objects collected by the image acquisition device before and after each adjustment of the focusing position. This enables automatic focusing of the image acquisition device without using a distance sensor and without increasing the cost of the image acquisition device. The image quality score is determined based on the image resolution score and the algorithm processing score, and the algorithm processing score indicates the success rate of recognizing target objects in the image. Therefore, by focusing the image acquisition device using embodiments of the present invention, the images collected by the image acquisition device after focusing can have both high resolution and a high success rate of recognizing target objects.
