Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for dehydrogenating a hydrocarbon feedstock containing paraffin and / or naphthenes, wherein the feedstock is brought into contact with a catalyst comprising an active phase based on at least one element M1 selected from at least one group VIII metal, tin, germanium, lead, gallium, indium, and thallium, and at least one element M2 selected from alkali metals or alkaline earth metals, and a support containing at least one refractory oxide, characterized in that the average macropore size of the support is 0.40 μm to 0.80 μm, and the tap density (TD) is 0.50 to 0.68 g / mL.
