Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present invention relates to an asymmetric pipe diameter oscillating heat pipe grinding wheel used for high-speed grinding, and a manufacturing method thereof. The grinding wheel structure utilizes the design of asymmetric pipe diameters to form different pressure gradients inside, provide an additional pressure difference, promote the working fluid inside the oscillating heat pipe to form a stable unidirectional circulating motion, and enable the oscillating heat pipe to still maintain high-efficiency and stable heat transfer performance under high-speed grinding conditions. BACKGROUND ART
[0002] As a passive heat transfer element, the oscillating heat pipe is known for its high thermal conductivity characteristics. In the field of grinding processing, especially under the working conditions of high-speed grinding, the air barrier effect formed by the high-speed rotation of the grinding wheel prevents the cooling liquid from entering the grinding arc area, so that the grinding heat cannot be effectively discharged, causing workpiece burn, and at the same time, seriously affecting the processing accuracy and the service life of the tool. To solve this problem, as a new cooling method, the oscillating heat pipe grinding wheel processes the flow channel of the oscillating heat pipe inside the grinding wheel base, utilizes the heat transfer performance of the oscillating heat pipe to discharge part of the grinding heat through the grinding wheel, reduces the grinding temperature, and avoids workpiece burn.
[0003] Conventional vibrating heat pipe grinding wheels use internal flow paths with the same pipe diameter, i.e., a symmetrical pipe diameter structure. Research has shown that in vibrating heat pipes with a symmetrical pipe diameter structure, the capillary force weakens under rotational conditions, leading to gas-liquid plug separation. As a result, heat transfer performance gradually weakens with increasing rotational speed. To improve this phenomenon, a vibrating heat pipe with an asymmetrical pipe diameter structure is provided. By distributing pipe diameters of different sizes, an additional pressure difference is introduced within the vibrating heat pipe, strengthening the driving force of the vibrating heat pipe and promoting the circulation and vibration of the working fluid within the vibrating heat pipe. In practical applications, such a structure can significantly improve the heat transfer performance of the vibrating heat pipe under rotational conditions, ensuring efficient heat extraction even under harsh working conditions such as high-speed grinding, thereby avoiding thermal damage to the workpiece and improving processing quality and efficiency. Therefore, vibrating heat pipes with an asymmetrical pipe diameter structure show broad application possibilities and great potential value in advanced manufacturing fields and precision machining fields.
[0004] However, further improvements in technical standards are needed for the specific processing of asymmetrical pipe diameter structures. [Overview of the project] [Problems that the invention aims to solve]
[0005] To overcome the shortcomings of the prior art, the present invention aims to provide an asymmetrical diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel for high-speed grinding and a method for manufacturing the same. The internal structure of this grinding wheel uses vibrating heat pipe flow paths designed so that the pipe diameters do not match. This increases the internal pressure, increases the driving force of the working fluid in the vibrating heat pipe, promotes internal circulation of the working fluid under high-speed conditions, and improves the heat transfer coefficient. Furthermore, the grinding wheel structure ensures stable and efficient heat conduction during high-speed grinding. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] To achieve the above objectives of the invention, the present invention employs the following technical solutions.
[0007] The asymmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel for high-speed grinding mainly consists of a front end cover of the grinding wheel, a base for the vibrating heat pipe, a rear end cover of the grinding wheel, and a plug. Both the front and rear end covers of the grinding wheel include an internal bore structure, a fin structure, and a step for welding. The two end covers are welded to the base of the vibrating heat pipe, connecting the flow channel grooves in the base and forming the asymmetric diameter flow channel of the integrated vibrating heat pipe.
[0008] The base of the vibrating heat pipe inside the asymmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel mainly includes an asymmetric diameter flow path, an internal bore of the base, a working surface of the grinding wheel, and a stepped structure of the base. Furthermore, a vacuum / injection port and a plug hole are provided for the injection and sealing of the working fluid. The asymmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe flow path is mainly formed by arranging multiple vibrating heat pipe single circuits alternately on the front and rear surfaces of the base, with the start and end connected. Each single-circuit vibrating heat pipe has a non-uniform diameter; the evaporation end and the insulated section on one side have one diameter size, while the condensation end and the insulated section on the other side have a different diameter size. There are two positions where the diameter changes in a single-circuit vibrating heat pipe. The diameter of the flow path is calculated based on the hydraulic diameter so that the depth of the flow path of the vibrating heat pipe is consistent. The evaporation end of the vibrating heat pipe is a through-hole structure perpendicular to the base. This asymmetrical pipe diameter structure increases the internal pressure, enhances the driving force of the working fluid in the vibrating heat pipe, promotes unidirectional circulation of the working fluid, and improves heat transfer performance. A step for welding is also machined into the base mounting position. After vacuuming and fluid injection, it is sealed with a plug and a sealing ring. The plug has an annular groove for attaching the sealing ring.
[0009] The entire asymmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel is configured to correspond to the base of the internal vibrating heat pipe. The outer circumferential surface of the grinding wheel, i.e., the working surface of the grinding wheel, corresponds to the evaporation end of the vibrating heat pipe. The evaporation ends of the asymmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe are uniformly distributed on the working surface of the grinding wheel. The corresponding positions of the condensation ends of the flow path of the vibrating heat pipe are the fin structures of the front and rear end covers.
[0010] When the asymmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel grinds a workpiece, the grinding heat generated in the grinding arc region during the grinding process is transmitted to the evaporation end of the asymmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe via the working layer of the grinding wheel. The internal working fluid forms a gas-liquid plug, and heat is transmitted and released by phase change and vibration of the gas-liquid plug.
[0011] The present invention further provides a method for manufacturing an asymmetrical diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel for high-speed grinding, and the method described above is Step 1 involves manufacturing the plug and front and rear end covers of the grinding wheel that meet the size requirements, As the base for the vibrating heat pipe, a disc with a certain amount of machining allowance remaining on its outer circumference was fabricated, and the size of the asymmetrical pipe diameter was calculated using the formula for calculating the rectangular hydraulic radius. The formula for calculating the hydraulic radius is as follows:

[0012] (Beneficial effects) The present invention provides a simple and easy-to-process asymmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel that, in high-speed grinding, utilizes the pressure of the asymmetric diameter to enhance the circulation motion of the internal working fluid and improve heat transfer performance. The vibrating heat pipe maintains a highly efficient and stable heat transfer capacity even in high-speed grinding, enabling suppression of thermal damage during grinding and highly efficient cooling. [0015] Hereinafter, the technical solutions of the present invention will be specifically described with reference to the embodiments and the accompanying drawings.
[0016] (Embodiment 1) Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of the overall structure of the asymmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel for high-speed grinding according to the present invention, and Figure 2 is an exploded three-dimensional view of the structure of the asymmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel according to the present invention. As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the asymmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel for high-speed grinding according to the present invention includes a front end cover 1 of the grinding wheel, a base 2 of the vibrating heat pipe, a rear end cover 3 of the grinding wheel, and a plug 4 of the grinding wheel. The two front and rear end covers are welded to the front and rear surfaces of the base of the vibrating heat pipe, sealing all the flow paths in the base 2 and forming a vibrating heat pipe flow path with the start and end connected. A plug hole is provided in the base 2 of the vibrating heat pipe. Vacuuming and fluid injection are performed on the sealed vibrating heat pipe flow path through the plug hole, and the plug 4 of the grinding wheel is attached to the plug hole 2-3 to form the asymmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel for high-speed grinding. Abrasive grains are arranged on the outer circumferential surface of the grinding wheel, forming an abrasive layer. In this embodiment, the overall diameter of the asymmetrical diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel is 400 mm, and the width of the grinding wheel is 25 mm.
[0017] Figure 3 is a schematic diagram of the structure of the front end cover 1 of the grinding wheel. The front end cover 1 includes a fin structure 1-1 for forced convection heat exchange, an inner hole 1-2 of the front end cover, and a welded step 1-3 for positioning and mounting to the base 2 of the vibrating heat pipe. The inner hole diameter of the front end cover 1 is 200 mm, the outer diameter is 400 mm, the thickness is 3 mm, and the height of the welded step is 2 mm. In this embodiment, the height of the fin structure 1-1 is 1 mm, and two types of fins are combined, with thicknesses of 1 mm and 4 mm, respectively. The total length of the fins corresponds to the length of the condensation end of the vibrating heat pipe at the base 2 of the vibrating heat pipe, and the total length is 30 mm.
[0018] Figure 4 is a schematic diagram of the structure of the base 2 of the vibrating heat pipe inside the grinding wheel. Figure 5 is a schematic diagram of the structure of the asymmetric diameter channel 2-1 of the vibrating heat pipe. In this embodiment, the asymmetric diameter channel 2-1 is composed of 36 single-circuit vibrating heat pipes in total, with 18 single-circuit channels machined on each side of the base 2 of the vibrating heat pipe. The length of the channel of each single-circuit vibrating heat pipe is 80 mm, and all have an asymmetric diameter structure, including an evaporation end A, a condensation end B, and an insulating section C. The two diameter change positions D are located at the junction of the evaporation end A and the insulating section C, and at the junction of the condensation end B and the insulating section C, respectively. The size of the asymmetric diameter channel 2-1 is calculated using the formula for the rectangular hydraulic radius, ensuring that the heights of the channels of two different diameters match. In this embodiment, the size is 2 × 2 mm each. 2 and 4×2mm 2 The evaporation end A of the asymmetrical pipe diameter flow path 2-1 is a through-hole structure perpendicular to the surface of the base 2, with a length matching the thickness of the grinding wheel and a diameter of 2 mm. The distance from the position of evaporation end A to the working surface 2-6 of the grinding wheel is 2 mm. A vacuum pump / liquid injection port 2-2 is provided at the position of the condensation end B of a single circuit, and is in communication with the plug hole 2-3. The size of the inner hole 2-4 of the base 2 is 127 mm. A stepped structure 2-5 is provided near the inner hole to facilitate the attachment of the end cover.
[0019] Figure 6 is a schematic diagram of the structure of the rear end cover 3 of the grinding wheel. The overall size and design of the rear end cover 3 are the same as those of the front end cover 1. After the two end covers are attached to the base 2 of the vibrating heat pipe, the entire flow path of the base 2 is sealed, forming a vibrating heat pipe flow path with the start and end connected.
[0020] Figure 7 is a schematic diagram of the structure of the plug 4 of the grinding wheel. The plug 4 has a diameter of 10 mm, and an annular groove 4-1 for attaching a seal ring is provided on its upper surface. The plug 4 and plug holes 2-3 of the grinding wheel are machined to engage with each other.
[0021] The present invention provides a method for manufacturing an asymmetrical diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel, and includes the following steps.
[0022] Process 1: Manufacture the grinding wheel plug 4 and the front and rear end covers of the grinding wheel that meet the size requirements, and process the internal holes, fin structure and stepped structure of the front and rear end covers. Step 2: Machine the base 2 of the vibrating heat pipe. This base is a disc with an internal hole. After leaving a machining allowance near the outer edge, a through hole with a diameter of 2 mm is machined along the circumference as the evaporation end A. The spacing between each through hole is 20°. The size of the asymmetrical pipe diameter is calculated using the formula for rectangular hydraulic radius, and each is 4 × 2 mm. 2 and 2 x 2 mm 2 This ensures that the heights of the two different diameter channels are the same and that they are uniformly distributed. In this embodiment, a total of 36 asymmetrical diameter channels 2-1 for vibrating heat pipes are alternately machined on the front and rear surfaces of the base. The diameter change positions D are located at the positions where the evaporation end A and the adiabatic section C of the vibrating heat pipe channel are connected, and at the positions where the condensation end B and the adiabatic section C are connected. Step 3: In the base 2 of the vibrating heat pipe, stepped structures are machined near the inner holes 2-4 and the outer edge to engage with the front and rear end covers of the grinding wheel, and these are designated as welding positions. At the same time, a 1 mm vacuum / injection port 2-2 is machined at the condensation end B of a certain flow path and connected to the plug hole 2-3. Step 4: The two end covers at the front and rear of the grinding wheel are sealed and attached to the stepped structure on the base 2 of the vibrating heat pipe, and welded, thereby creating a connecting passage for the asymmetrical pipe diameter flow path 2-1. The vibrating heat pipe structure on the front and rear surfaces of the base 2 of the vibrating heat pipe is formed as a multi-circuit asymmetrical vibrating heat pipe passage that communicates with the outside only through the plug holes 2-3. Step 5: Finish the outer circumference of the grinding wheel to meet the size requirements and the requirements for coaxiality and runout of the grinding wheel. Step 6: Abrasive grains are bonded to the outer surface 2-6 of the asymmetrical diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel using electroplating or brazing to form an abrasive layer. Step 7: Connect the plug holes 2-3 to the vacuum pump and liquid injection device, perform vacuuming and liquid injection, then place the seal ring in the annular groove 4-1 of the plug 4 of the grinding wheel, screw the plug 4 of the grinding wheel into the plug holes 2-3, and form a complete seal. This completes the manufacturing of the asymmetrical diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel.
[0023] (Embodiment 2) To explain the feasibility and effectiveness of the present invention, the temperature fields during the grinding process of the asymmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel and the symmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel are compared and analyzed to verify the high-efficiency heat exchange capacity of the asymmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel. In the simulation, the grinding wheel structure described in Embodiment 1 is used to grind a DD90 single-crystal high-temperature alloy material, and the heat flux is set to 1 × 10⁻⁶. 8 W / m 2 The settings were adjusted as follows. Figure 8 is a simulation diagram of the grinding temperature field of the asymmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel in Embodiment 1. The maximum temperature in the grinding arc region is 432°C. Figure 9 is a simulation diagram of the grinding temperature field of the symmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel. The maximum temperature in the grinding arc region is 518°C. Thus, the asymmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel can effectively improve heat transfer efficiency and lower the surface temperature of the workpiece compared to the symmetric diameter vibrating heat pipe grinding wheel.
[0024] As can be seen from the above, the present invention utilizes a vibrating heat pipe flow path designed so that the internal pipe diameters do not match, thereby increasing the internal pressure, increasing the driving force of the working fluid in the vibrating heat pipe, promoting internal circulation of the working fluid under high-speed conditions, and improving heat transfer efficiency. The grinding wheel structure ensures stable and highly efficient heat conduction capabilities in applications in high-speed grinding.
