AI Technical Summary
Existing silencing mechanisms for aerosol sprays fail to adequately reduce spraying sound while maintaining usability, cleanliness, and adherence to compact size constraints.
An acoustic module comprising a Helmholtz resonance cavity, microperforated plate, and quarter wavelength slit is integrated into the spray container, with a diffusion chamber and porous outlet, allowing for easy cleaning and maintenance, and can be attached as an external or integrated cap type.
Significantly reduces sound pressure by 8 to 12 dB(A) without impairing the spraying feeling, is easy to clean, and can be retrofitted to existing cans.

Claims
1. A spray noise reduction device that can be attached to an aerosol spray container, comprising: (a) a main body that defines a flow path downstream of the actuator opening of the spray container; and (b) an acoustic module disposed in the flow path for reducing the sound pressure level during spraying, wherein the acoustic module includes at least one of a Helmholtz resonance cavity, a microperforated plate (MPP), a quarter-wavelength slit, or a porous liner, and the device is configured as (i) an integrated cap type or (ii) an external attachment.
2. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the acoustic module is configured as a replaceable cartridge and can be attached to and detached from the main body by snap fitting or bayonet fitting.
3. The apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the main body is provided with a drainage groove for discharging adhering liquid from the spray solution, the width of the groove being 0.2 to 1.0 mm and the inclination being 0.5 to 10°.
4. The apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the hole diameter of the microperforated plate (MPP) is in the range of 0.1 to 0.6 mm, the aperture ratio is in the range of 2 to 12%, and the plate thickness is in the range of 0.2 to 1.0 mm.
5. The apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the effective length of the quarter-wavelength slit is 20 to 40 mm, and the apparatus is miniaturized by a folded flow channel.
6. The apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the Helmholtz resonance chambers are one or more chambers and are arranged in the circumferential or axial direction.
7. The apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the porous liner is composed of at least one of foamed resin, nonwoven fabric, and metal mesh.
8. The apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the series stack comprises a diffusion chamber in front of the acoustic module and a porous outlet in the rear.
9. The apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the main body is provided with a two-stage mode switching mechanism, allowing switching between silent mode and normal mode.
10. The apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 9, wherein the external attachment has a cylindrical, elliptical, or polygonal outer shape and is fixed to the existing cap by claws, annular ribs, or clamps.
11. (B is an independent term) An aerosol container with an integrated cap, comprising an acoustic module as described in claim 1 inside the cap, wherein the spray flow from the actuator opening passes through the module and opens to the outside.
12. (A is an independent term on its own) An external attachment that can be attached to or detached from the outer circumference or top surface of an existing aerosol cap without the need for tools, and comprises an annular body that positions the acoustic module described in claim 1 downstream of the actuator opening when attached.
13. The apparatus or container according to any one of claims 1 to 12, comprising a configuration that allows only the front cover to be opened and closed without the need for tools during cleaning.
14. The apparatus or container according to any one of claims 1 to 13, wherein multiple intake / exhaust ports are provided in the circumferential direction, and spraying is possible in any path, whether forward, to the side, or circumferentially.
15. The apparatus or container according to any one of claims 1 to 14, wherein the main material consists of at least one of PP, PE, POM, ABS, and TPE.
