Abstract

To provide a packaging box that improves ease of handling by hand and reduces the risk of the packaging box falling. [Solution] The packaging comprises a rectangular base 11, a pair of first sides 12 extending along the long side of the base, a pair of second sides 13 extending along the short side of the base, a packaging space defined by the base, the pair of first sides, and the pair of second sides, and a top surface 14 that closes the packaging space. The base, the pair of first sides, and the pair of second sides are continuous with each other via folds, and the top surface is continuous with at least one of the pair of first sides and the pair of second sides via folds. The pair of first sides are provided with gripping portions 15 that can be folded inward and upward. When the gripping portions are folded, their ends come into contact with the inner wall of the top surface, thereby improving gripping strength and portability.

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a packaging box, and particularly to a packaging box for accommodating a roll-shaped film, which has improved portability for manual handling.

Background Art

[0002] Conventionally, a packaging box for a roll-shaped film (hereinafter also referred to as a "carton") is large and heavy. For example, a carton for 3M (registered trademark) DI-NOC (registered trademark) film is known to have a weight of about 25 kg.

[0003] In the transportation from a film manufacturing factory to a finished product warehouse, the carton is loaded on a pallet and conveyed by a forklift or the like, so there are few particular problems.

[0004] However, at a construction site or a retailer, the carton is often handled manually, and there are scattered cases where an operator drops the carton, including transportation by a general delivery carrier.

[0005] Conventional cartons have been transported by an operator holding them under the arm, but due to their large weight, the holding becomes unstable, which has been a cause of dropping.
