Vibration Generator

Abstract

To reduce manual work needed for switching the vibration direction of a vibration generating device.SOLUTION: The vibration generating device comprises a first vibration table, an excitation unit, a support portion, a switching unit and a second vibration table. The excitation unit causes the first vibration table to vibrate. The support portion supports the excitation unit in a pivotable manner around an axis orthogonal to the vibration direction of the first vibration table. The switching unit selectively switches the direction that corresponds to the pivoting of the excitation unit between a direction in which the direction of vibration of the first vibration table is approximately the vertical direction and a direction in which the same is approximately the horizontal direction. The second vibration table is an upward table and is provided approximately horizontally movably with respect to a pedestal portion supporting the table. The first vibration table includes a plane portion and a groove portion. A jig for fixing an approximately horizontally vibrated test piece can be attached to and detached from the plane portion. The groove portion is provided in the plane portion, and an edge of the second vibration table is fitted in the groove while the direction of vibration is switched to an approximately horizontal direction by the switching unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
