AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing rotating electric machines face challenges in achieving high torque while maintaining a small size and weight, particularly in applications requiring continuous output at low rotation speeds, leading to issues like leakage flux and heat generation.

Method used

The design incorporates a stator with an annular yoke and teeth protrusions, a rotor with 16 to 32 poles, and an offset positioning of the electromagnetic coil within the slots, reducing leakage flux and heat generation by optimizing the intersection angles and offset amounts.

Benefits of technology

This configuration allows for high torque output with reduced leakage flux and heat generation, enabling a compact and lightweight rotating electric machine that can continuously provide rotational force, even at low speeds.

Abstract

To provide a motor capable of obtaining sufficiently large running torque even in a case where a rotary shaft is rotated at a low speed, and suppressing generation of heat from a stator (especially an electromagnetic coil).SOLUTION: A stator 12 of a rotary electric machine 10 comprises a yoke 24 and a plurality of teeth 26. A slot 28 is formed between the adjacent teeth. An electromagnetic coil 30 is provided in the slot. An inner peripheral end of the electromagnetic coil is offset from an inner peripheral end of a rod part 32, which is a portion of the teeth, toward the yoke. An offset amount OF is defined as a distance from an inner peripheral end of a flange part 34, which is a portion of the teeth, to an inner peripheral tip end position of the electromagnetic coil. The offset amount is 5% to 11% of the full length LO of the teeth.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
