Abstract

To make a driver visually recognize a display part in a more proper state.SOLUTION: A control method is for an information display system displaying information on at least one display part a vehicle has. The information display system can execute guidance processing for guiding a sight line of a driver to the display part not on the sight line of the driver on the vehicle, of one or more display parts. The control method acquires ambient information indicating the state of surroundings of the vehicle from devices outside of the vehicle (S7); determines whether or not the driver must pay attention more to the state of surroundings indicated in the ambient information than to information displayed on the one or more display parts (S8); and performing control for suppressing the execution of the guidance processing when determined that the driver must pay attention more to the state of surroundings of the vehicle than to the information displayed on the one or more display parts (S8A).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
