Abstract

A biodegradable aqueous dispersion is disclosed, which is comprised of about 35 to about 75% by weight of water and about 25 to about 65% by weight of a polyhydroxyalkanoate. A biodegradable food service product is also disclosed, which includes a biodegradable substrate having at least one food contact surface. A coating formed from the biodegradable aqueous dispersion is applied to the at least one food contact surface.
