Abstract

To provide compounds useful in the prevention and treatment of various conditions [Solution] Formula (I) TIFF2022107795000167.tif3974 and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and pharmaceutical compositions thereof are provided; 1 , R 2 , and R 5 is as defined herein. The compounds of the present invention are expected to be useful in the prevention and treatment of a variety of conditions. Provided herein are substituted oxysterols useful for the prevention and / or treatment of a wide range of disorders, including, but not limited to, NMDA-mediated disorders. These compounds are expected to exhibit improved in vivo efficacy, pharmacokinetic (PK) properties, oral bioavailability, suitability for formulation, stability, and / or safety compared to other oxysterols. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds of the present invention and methods of their use and treatment are further provided.
