Abstract

To provide a liquid discharge device which is improved in accuracy of detecting liquid having intruded into a print head.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device comprises a digital signal output circuit for outputting digital signals to a print head, and a liquid storage container. The print head has: a supply port through which liquid is supplied; a nozzle plate with nozzles; a substrate with a first side and a second side positioned opposite each other, a third side and a fourth side opposingly positioned, a first surface, and a second surface; a connector to which digital signals are input; and an integrated circuit to which digital signals are input via the connector, and which outputs abnormality detection signals indicating presence / absence of abnormality of the print head. The connector is provided on the first surface, whereas the integrated circuit is provided on the second surface. The substrate includes ring-like wiring electrically connected to the integrated circuit. The ring-like wiring is arranged annularly along the circumference of the substrate including the first side, the second side, the third side and the fourth side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
