Abstract
To provide a release film capable of preventing the floating of an insulating layer and avoiding the peeling force from increasing excessively when separating the release film from the insulating layer and a method of manufacturing the release film.SOLUTION: A release film includes a polyester film, and a release layer provided on at least one side surface of the polyester film. The arithmetic average roughness Ra of the release layer is 20 nm or less and the ten-point average roughness Rz of the release layer is 300 nm or less. The surface free energy of the release layer is 20 dyne / cm to 32 dyne / cm. The thermal shrinkage rate in the longitudinal direction is 1.5% or less and the thermal shrinkage rate in the width direction is 0.0% to 0.5%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
