Abstract

To provide techniques for generating, from data of a first domain, data of a second domain corresponding to the data of the first domain while controlling an index for the data of the second domain.SOLUTION: A data generation apparatus includes: a latent variable generation unit that generates, from data of a first domain, a latent variable corresponding to the data of the first domain using an encoder; and a second domain data generation unit that generates data of a second domain corresponding to the data of the first domain from the latent variable and a condition concerning an index for the data of the second domain using a decoder. The data of the first domain is any of an acoustic signal, a signal concerning a visual sense, a signal concerning a taste sense, a signal concerning an olfactory sense and a signal concerning a tactile sense. The second domain is the aggregate of natural language representations. The index for the data of the second domain is a detail degree of the natural language representation. The condition concerning the index for the data of the second domain designates a condition concerning the detail degree of the natural language representation to be generated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 20
