Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of communication technology, and in particular to a channel information acquisition method and related device. [Background technology]

[0002] In order to improve the spectral efficiency of the system, massive multi-input multiple-output (massive MIMO) technology has been widely applied. When massive MIMO technology is used, the network device needs to precode the data before transmitting the data to the terminal device. How the network device precodes the data is mainly determined based on the channel state information (CSI) of the downlink channel fed back to the network device by the terminal device.

[0003] In a time division duplexing (TDD) system, since the uplink channel and the downlink channel use the same frequency band, the CSI of the downlink channel can be obtained through the uplink channel by using the reciprocity of the channels, and then a codebook is determined for precoding. However, in a frequency division duplexing (FDD) system, since the interval between the uplink frequency band and the downlink frequency band is larger than the bandwidth, the uplink and downlink channels do not have complete reciprocity but have partial reciprocity. For example, a network device can obtain reciprocal information, such as the angle and delay between the uplink channel and the downlink channel, from the uplink channel and load the reciprocal information into a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS). The terminal device can obtain information that the uplink channel and the downlink channel are non-reciprocal, such as a complex coefficient C UL and C DL The network device may then obtain the complete CSI of the downlink channel based on the non-reciprocal information.

[0004] The mutual information such as angle and delay is loaded into the port of the reference signal in different ways, so that the communication system has different overhead, performance and complexity. However, the current codebook can only accommodate one loading type of channel measurement configuration. As a result, the current channel information acquisition method cannot meet the requirements of overhead, performance, complexity, etc. Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0005] The present application provides a channel information acquisition method and related device that facilitates flexible configuration of channel information measurements, so that the corresponding acquisition method meets requirements on overhead, performance, complexity, etc. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] According to a first aspect, the present application provides a channel information acquisition method. In the method, first indication information can be received. The first indication information indicates one of a plurality of parameter configuration combinations of a reference signal, and the plurality of parameter configuration combinations are associated with the same codebook. Thus, the terminal device can feed back channel state information based on the indicated parameter configuration combination. It can be seen that the network device can select one of the plurality of parameter configuration combinations and indicate the indicated parameter configuration combination to the terminal device. This helps to implement a flexible selection of a channel state information acquisition scheme and meet system requirements such as overhead, performance, and complexity.

[0007] According to a second aspect, the present application further provides a channel information acquisition method. The method corresponds to the method of the first aspect and is described from the perspective of a network device. In the method, a separate work device may determine and transmit first indication information. The first indication information indicates one of a plurality of parameter configuration combinations of a reference signal, and the plurality of parameter configuration combinations are associated with the same codebook W. It can be seen that the network device may select one of the plurality of parameter configuration combinations and indicate the indicated parameter configuration combination to the terminal device. This helps to implement a flexible selection of a channel state information acquisition scheme and meet system requirements such as overhead, performance, and complexity.

[0008] Optional embodiments applicable to the first and second aspects are described below.

[0009] In an arbitrary implementation, the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information is associated with an angle-delay information loading scheme. The angle-delay information loading scheme is a scheme in which the network device loads angle-delay information into a port of a reference signal when transmitting the reference signal. Based on this implementation, the network device can flexibly configure the parameter configuration combination required for channel information measurement based on characteristics such as overhead, performance, complexity, etc. of different loading schemes.

[0010] In another optional implementation, the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information is associated with a channel state information (CSI) feedback mode. The angle-delay information loading scheme at the port of the reference signal is associated with the CSI feedback mode used by the terminal device. Thus, this implementation supports the terminal device to use the corresponding CSI feedback mode based on the indicated parameter configuration combination.

[0011] In yet another optional implementation, the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information is associated with an angle-delay information loading scheme, and the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information is further associated with a CSI feedback mode. In this way, the angle-delay information loading scheme can be flexibly selected on the network device side. On the terminal device, the corresponding CSI feedback mode that needs to be used can be learned in a timely manner to help meet the system requirements for overhead, performance, complexity, etc.

[0012] In any implementation, the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information includes a quantity K of frequency domain vectors corresponding to each port of the reference signal, where K≧1. When K is equal to 1, angle-delay pair information is loaded to the port of the reference signal. When K is greater than 1, angle information or a part of the angle-delay pair information is loaded to the port of the reference signal. It can be seen that the network device may limit K, so that various implementations can be implemented by using the same codebook, which facilitates flexible configuration of channel information measurement and meets system requirements for performance, overhead, complexity, etc.

[0013] In another optional implementation, the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information includes a quantity M of frequency domain vectors selectable by the first device among K frequency domain vectors corresponding to each port of the reference signal, where K≧1, 1≦M≦K. When M is greater than 1, a part of the angle information or angle-delay pair information is loaded into the port of the reference signal. Since the network device may limit M, various implementations can be implemented by using the same codebook, which can be seen to facilitate flexible configuration of channel information measurement and meet system requirements for performance, overhead, complexity, etc.

[0014] In a possible implementation, the codebook W has the following properties:

number

number

[0015] Optionally, the values of the above parameters of the codebook W may be transmitted to the terminal device by using one or more pieces of indication information, e.g. indicated separately by using one or more pieces of signaling or indicated hierarchically by using multiple pieces of signaling.

[0016] In any implementation, when O×P is less than the first value, or P is less than the second value, or O is equal to 1, in the codebook, W1 is an identity matrix. The first value and the second value may be notified to the terminal device by using a protocol agreement or scheme indicated by the network device.

[0017] In this application, a network device may use W in the same codebook to use different implementations. f The network device may configure the value of K or M in W, so that the terminal device uses a CSI acquisition solution, such as a different CSI feedback scheme. f K or M in is configured to restrict the configuration of another parameter.

[0018] In any implementation, when K is equal to 1, O≧2. Alternatively, when K is equal to 1, O=1, and the density of the reference signal is less than 1. When K is greater than 1 or M is greater than 1, O is equal to 1. It is understood that when K is equal to 1, in addition to the corresponding implementation, the network device and the terminal device may further reduce the overhead of the reference signal by loading multiple pieces of angle-delay pair information to the port of the reference signal, or by configuring multiple resources or multiple patterns, and by configuring the density of the reference signal to be less than 1.

[0019] In any other implementation, when O is greater than 1, the angle-delay pair information is loaded into the reference signal port, and both M and K are equal to 1. In this implementation, W f The value of parameter O in may be constrained so that network devices can use different implementations for the same codebook to meet the requirements of each implementation in terms of performance and reference signal overhead, and reduce the terminal side complexity by using constrained relationships between the parameters.

[0020] In a possible implementation, the codebook W has the following properties:

number

[0021] In any implementation, when P is less than a third value, W1 is an identity matrix.

[0022] In this application, the network device may use different implementations of W in the same codebook so that the terminal device uses different CSI acquisition solutions, such as different CSI feedback schemes. f Alternatively, the network device may configure the value of K or M in W to limit the configuration of another parameter. f In this implementation, optionally, when K is equal to 1, the density of the reference signal is less than 1.

[0023] In the present application, optionally, each port of the reference signal corresponds to the same K frequency domain vectors in each resource configuration and each pattern configuration; or different resource configurations of the reference signal correspond to K different frequency domain vectors; or different pattern configurations of the reference signal correspond to K different frequency domain vectors; or different ports of the reference signal correspond to K different frequency domain vectors.

[0024] In any embodiment, the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information further includes a window length K, or further includes a window start point and a window length K or 2K. The window is an index range of any frequency domain vector, including K frequency domain vectors corresponding to each port of the reference signal.

[0048] 1 is a schematic diagram of a wireless communication network 100 applicable to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 1, the wireless communication network 100 includes base stations 102, 104, and 106, and terminal devices 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, and 122. The base stations 102, 104, and 106 may communicate with each other by using backhaul links (as shown by the straight lines between the base stations 102, 104, and 106). The backhaul links may be wired backhaul links (e.g., optical fiber or copper cable) or wireless backhaul links (e.g., microwave). Terminal devices 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, and 122 may communicate with corresponding base stations 102, 104, and 106 by using wireless links (e.g., as indicated by the folded lines between base stations 102, 104, and 106 and terminal devices 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, and 122).

[0049] Base stations 102, 104, and 106 typically provide wireless access services for terminal devices 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, and 122, which typically function as user equipment, as access devices. Specifically, each base station corresponds to a service coverage area (sometimes called cellular, shown in each elliptical area in FIG. 1), and a terminal device entering the area can communicate with the base station by using wireless signals and receive wireless access services provided by the base station. A terminal device in an overlapping area may receive wireless signals from multiple base stations. Thus, these base stations may provide services to the terminal device in cooperation with each other. For example, multiple base stations may provide services to the terminal device in the overlapping area by using Coordinated Multipoint Transmission / Reception (CoMP) technology. For example, as shown in FIG. 1, the service coverage area of base station 102 overlaps with the service coverage area of base station 104, and terminal device 112 is in the overlapping area. Thus, the terminal device 112 may receive wireless signals from the base stations 102 and 104. The base stations 102 and 104 may provide services to the terminal device 112 in cooperation with each other. In another example, as shown in FIG. 1, the service coverage areas of the base stations 102, 104, and 106 have a common overlapping area, and the terminal device 120 is in the overlapping area. Thus, the terminal device 120 may receive wireless signals from the base stations 102, 104, and 106. The base stations 102, 104, and 106 may provide services to the terminal device 120 in cooperation with each other.

[0050] Depending on the wireless communication technology used, a base station may also be referred to as a NodeB (NodeB), evolved NodeB (eNodeB), Access Point (AP), etc. Additionally, based on the area of the service coverage area provided, a base station may be further divided into a macro base station configured to provide a macro cell, a micro base station configured to provide a micro cell, a pico base station configured to provide a pico cell, a femto base station configured to provide a femto cell, etc. As wireless communication technology continues to evolve, other names may be used for future base stations.

[0051] A base station generally includes several components, such as, but not limited to, a baseband section, a radio frequency section, and an antenna array section.

[0052] The baseband part is configured to perform a number of baseband processing operations, such as, but not limited to, encoding and decoding, modulation and demodulation, precoding, time-frequency conversion, etc. In a specific implementation process, the baseband part is usually implemented, for example, but not limited to, by a baseband unit (BBU).

[0053] The radio frequency part is configured to perform a number of radio frequency processing operations, such as, but not limited to, intermediate frequency processing and filtering. In a specific implementation process, the radio frequency part is typically implemented by, but not limited to, a Radio Frequency Unit (RFU).

[0054] Antenna arrays can be divided into active and passive antenna arrays, which are responsible for transmitting and receiving signals.

[0055] The product forms of the base station are abundant. For example, in the product implementation process, the BBU and the RFU may be integrated into the same device, and the device is connected to the antenna array by using a cable (such as, but not limited to, a feeder). Alternatively, the BBU and the RFU may be deployed separately, and the BBU and the RFU are connected by using optical fibers and communicate with each other by using, for example, but not limited to, a Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI) protocol. In this case, the RFU is generally called an RRU (Remote Radio Unit), and is connected to the antenna array by using a cable. In addition, the RRU may be further integrated with the antenna array. For example, the currently available Active Antenna Unit (AAU) products use this structure.

[0056] In addition, the BBU may be further decomposed into multiple parts. For example, the BBU may be further divided into a Central Unit (CU) and a Distributed Unit (DU) based on the real-time performance of the processed services. The CU processes non-real-time protocols and services, and the DU processes physical layer protocols and real-time services. Furthermore, some physical layer functions may be further separated from the BBU or DU and integrated into the AAU.

[0057] From the above description, it can be seen that the base station may include multiple parts and have multiple different product forms. In this case, the technical solutions described in the embodiments of the present application may only relate to one or more parts of the base station, or may relate to the entire base station. Therefore, the base station in the embodiments of the present application may be a base station product including only a few parts used to implement the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application, or may be the entire base station. The aforementioned several parts may include, but are not limited to, one or more of the aforementioned baseband part, radio frequency part, antenna array, BBU, RRU, RFU, AAU, CU and DU. Furthermore, the technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present application may be implemented only by the corresponding chips in each of the aforementioned several parts. In each part, the technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present application may include one chip, or may include multiple chips. It can be seen that the technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present application may be implemented by the entire base station, or may be implemented by several parts of the base station, or may be implemented by one or more chips in these parts, i.e., may be implemented by one or more chips in the base station. For example, the technical solutions may be implemented only by a part of the base station that is related to baseband processing. Furthermore, the technical solution may be implemented by a BBU, may be implemented by a CU, may be implemented by a DU, may be jointly implemented by a CU and a DU, may be implemented by an AAU, or may be implemented by one or more chips in these devices.

[0058] The functions and product forms of the base station are clearly described in the prior art and will not be described in detail here.

[0059] The terminal devices 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120 and 122 may be various wireless communication devices having wireless communication capabilities, such as, but not limited to, mobile phones, cordless phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), smartphones, notebook computers, tablet computers, wireless data cards, wireless modems (modulator demodulators, Modems) or wearable devices such as smart watches. With the development of internet of things (IOT) technology and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology, an increasing amount of devices that did not have communication capabilities before, such as, but not limited to, home appliances, vehicles, tool devices, service devices and service equipment, are beginning to obtain wireless communication capabilities by configuring wireless communication units to access wireless communication networks and accept remote operations. Such devices have wireless communication capabilities because they have wireless communication units, and therefore belong to the scope of wireless communication devices. In addition, the terminal devices 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120 and 122 may also be referred to as mobile stations, mobile devices, mobile terminals, wireless terminals, handheld devices, clients, and the like.

[0060] The base stations 102, 104, and 106 and the terminal devices 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, and 122 may be equipped with multiple antennas to support MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) technology. Furthermore, the base stations 102, 104, and 106 and the terminal devices 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, and 122 may support not only Single-User MIMO (SU-MIMO) technology but also Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO) technology. The MU-MIMO technology may be implemented based on Space Division Multiple Access (SDMA) technology. Due to the multiple antennas, the base stations 102, 104, and 106 and the terminal devices 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, and 122 may further flexibly support Single-Input Single-Output (SISO), Single-Input Multiple-Output (SIMO), and Multiple-Input Single-Output (MISO) technologies to implement various diversity (such as, but not limited to, transmit diversity and receive diversity) and multiplexing technologies. The diversity technologies include, but are not limited to, Transmit Diversity (TD) and Receive Diversity (RD) technologies. The multiplexing technology may be a Spatial Multiplexing technology. In addition, the aforementioned technologies may further include multiple implementation solutions. For example, the transmit diversity technology may include transmit diversity.

[0061] An important application of MIMO technology is transmit diversity (TD). Transmit diversity improves the reliability of transmission by performing redundant transmission of an original signal (e.g., symbol) in time, frequency, space (e.g., antenna), or various combinations of these three dimensions. In a specific implementation process, the amount of redundant transmission may be set based on a channel model or channel quality, and the target of the redundant transmission may be the original signal, or the signal after the original signal is processed. Such processing may include, but is not limited to, delay, inversion, conjugate, rotation, and processing obtained after derivation, evolution, and combination of the various processings mentioned above.

[0062] Currently, commonly used transmit diversity includes, but is not limited to, Space-Time Transmit Diversity (STTD), Space-Frequency Transmit Diversity (SFTD), Time Switched Transmit Diversity (TSTD), Frequency Switched Transmit Diversity (FSTD), Orthogonal Transmit Diversity (OTD), Cyclic Delay Diversity (CDD), and other diversity schemes, and diversity schemes obtained after the above diversity schemes are derived, evolved, and combined. For example, currently, transmit diversity schemes such as Space Time Block Coding (STBC), Space Frequency Block Coding (SFBC), and CDD are used in the Long Term Evolution (LTE) standard.

[0063] The above describes the transmit diversity in a general manner using examples. Those skilled in the art should understand that in addition to the above examples, the transmit diversity further includes multiple other implementations. Therefore, the above description should not be understood as a limitation on the technical solution of the present application, and the technical solution of the present application should be understood as being applicable to various possible transmit diversity solutions.

[0064] In addition, the base stations 102, 104, and 106 and the terminal devices 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, and 122 may communicate with each other by using various wireless communication technologies.

[0065] With the development of communication theory and practice, more and more wireless communication technologies have emerged and gradually matured. Wireless communication technologies include, but are not limited to, Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) technology, Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) technology, Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) technology, Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access (TD-SCDMA) technology, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) technology, Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) technology, Space Division Multiple Access (SDMA) technology, and technologies evolved and derived from these technologies. As Radio Access Technologies (RATs), the above wireless communication technologies have been adopted into various wireless communication standards, resulting in the construction of various wireless communication systems (or networks) that are well known today. These wireless communication systems include, but are not limited to, Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM), CDMA 2000, Wideband CDMA (WCDMA), Wi-Fi as defined in the 802.11 series of standards, Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX), Long Term Evolution (LTE), LTE-Advanced (LTE-A), 5G, and evolved systems of these wireless communication systems. Unless otherwise stated, the technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present application may be applied to the aforementioned wireless communication technologies and wireless communication systems. In addition, the terms "system" and "network" may be interchanged.

[0066] It should be noted that the wireless communication network 100 shown in Fig. 1 is only an example, and is not intended to limit the technical solution of the present application. Those skilled in the art should understand that in a specific implementation process, the wireless communication network 100 may further include other devices, and the number of base stations and the number of terminal devices may be further configured based on specific requirements.

[0067] In order to better understand the embodiments of the present application, the following some explanations are given before describing the embodiments of the present application.

[0068] First, for ease of explanation, when numbers are included, the sequence numbering may start at 1. For example, N f The frequency domain units are the first frequency domain unit to the N f th frequency domain unit. Of course, the specific implementation is not limited to this. For example, the sequence number may alternatively start from 0. For example, f The frequency domain units are arranged as follows: f −1)th frequency domain unit. For brevity, the embodiments are not listed one by one here. In addition, the corresponding indexes may be numbered starting from 1 or starting from 0. For example, the index of the first frequency domain unit is 1, the index of the N f The index of the th frequency domain unit is f Alternatively, the index of the 0th frequency domain unit is 0, and (N f -1) The index of the frequency domain unit is N f The answer is -1.

[0069] It should be understood that all the foregoing descriptions are provided to help explain the technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present application, but are not intended to limit the scope of the present application.

[0070] Secondly, in this application, matrix and vector transformation and function operations are included in multiple parts. For ease of understanding, a unified explanation is provided here. The matrices A, N, etc. shown in this section are just examples.

[0071] For a matrix A, the superscript T denotes the transpose, e.g., A T denotes the transpose of a matrix (vector) A. The superscript H denotes the conjugate transpose, e.g., A H represents the conjugate transpose of matrix (vector) A.

[0072] Third, in this application, "used to point to" may include "used to directly point to" and "used to indirectly point to." When a piece of pointing information is described as being used to point to A, the pointing information may directly point to A or indirectly point to A, but does not necessarily indicate that the pointing information holds A.

[0073] The information indicated by the indication information is called to-be-indicated information. In a specific implementation process, there are multiple ways to indicate the to-be-indicated information, including, but not limited to, the following: the to-be-indicated information is directly indicated, for example, the to-be-indicated information or the index of the to-be-indicated information is indicated. Alternatively, the to-be-indicated information may be indirectly indicated by indicating other information, and there is an association relationship between the other information and the to-be-indicated information. Alternatively, only a part of the to-be-indicated information may be indicated, and the other part of the to-be-indicated information is known or pre-agreed. For example, a specific piece of information may alternatively be indicated by using a pre-agreed (e.g., protocol-specified) order of multiple pieces of information, which may reduce the indication overhead to some extent. In addition, the common part of all pieces of information may be identified and indicated in a unified manner, which may reduce the indication overhead caused by separately indicating the same information. For example, a person skilled in the art should understand that a precoding matrix includes precoding vectors, and the precoding vectors in a precoding matrix may have the same parts in terms of composition or another attribute.

[0074] Furthermore, the specific indication method may alternatively be various existing indication methods, such as, but not limited to, the above-mentioned indication methods and various combinations thereof. For details of various indication methods, please refer to the prior art. Details will not be described in this specification. From the above description, it can be seen that different information may be indicated in different ways, for example, when multiple pieces of the same type of information need to be indicated. In a specific implementation process, the required indication method may be selected based on specific requirements. The selected indication method is not limited to the embodiments of the present application. In this way, the indication method in the embodiments of the present application should be understood as covering various ways that can enable the referred party to learn the referred information.

[0075] The indicated information may be transmitted as a whole or may be divided into multiple pieces of sub-information for separate transmission. In addition, the transmission periodicity and / or transmission opportunity of these pieces of sub-information may be the same or different. The specific transmission method is not limited in this application. The transmission periodicity and / or transmission opportunity of these pieces of sub-information may be predefined, for example, predefined according to a protocol, or may be configured by the transmitting end device by transmitting configuration information to the receiving end device. By way of example and not limitation, the configuration information may include one or a combination of at least two of radio resource control signaling, medium access control (MAC) layer signaling, and physical layer signaling. The radio resource control signaling includes, for example, radio resource control (RRC) signaling. The MAC layer signaling includes, for example, a MAC control element (CE). The physical layer signaling includes, for example, downlink control information (DCI).

[0076] Fourth, the definitions listed in this application for many of the characteristics (e.g., precoding matrix indicator (PMI), channel, resource block (RB), resource block group (RBG), subband, precoding resource block group (PRG), resource element (RE), etc.) are merely used to explain the function of the characteristics as examples.

[0077] Fifth, the terms "first", "second" and various numbers in the following embodiments are merely used for distinction for ease of description and are not intended to limit the scope of the embodiments of the present application, for example, these terms are used to distinguish different instruction information.

[0078] Sixth, "predefined" or "preconfigured" may be implemented by prestoring a corresponding code or a corresponding table in a device (including, for example, a terminal device or a network device) or in another manner that can be used to indicate related information. The specific implementation of "predefined" or "preconfigured" is not limited in this application. "Storing" means storing in one or more memories. The one or more memories may be located separately or integrated into an encoder or decoder, a processor, or a communication device. Alternatively, some of the one or more memories may be located separately and some of the one or more memories are integrated into a decoder, a processor, or a communication device. The type of memory may be any form of storage medium. This is not limited in this application.

[0079] Seventh, the "protocol" in the embodiments of the present application may be a standard protocol in the communication field, and may include, for example, an LTE protocol, a new radio (NR) protocol, and related protocols used in future communication systems, which are not limited in the present application.

[0080] Eighth, "at least one" means one or more, and "plurality" means two or more. The term "and / or" describes an association relationship between related objects and may indicate a three-way relationship. For example, A and / or B may indicate the following cases: only A may be present, both A and B may be present, and only B may be present. A and B may be singular or plural. The character " / " generally indicates an "or" relationship between related objects. "At least one of the following items" or similar expressions means any combination of these items, including any combination of singular items or multiple items. For example, at least one of a, b, and c may represent: a, b, c, a and b, a and c, b and c, or a, b, and c, where a, b, and c may each be singular or plural.

[0081] Ninth, in the embodiments of the present application, descriptions such as "when," "in a certain case," and "if" mean that a device (e.g., a terminal device or a network device) executes corresponding processing in an objective situation, and are not intended to limit the time, nor are the devices (e.g., a terminal device or a network device) required to execute decision operations during implementation, and do not imply any other limitations.

[0082] To aid in understanding the embodiments of the present application, the following provides a brief explanation of terms used in the embodiments of the present application.

[0083] 1. Precoding Technology

[0084] A transmitting device and multiple receiving devices can implement transmission in the same time-frequency resource by using a precoding technique, that is, multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) is implemented. It should be understood that the relevant description of the precoding technique in this specification is merely an example for easy understanding and is not intended to limit the protection scope of the embodiments of the present application. In a specific implementation process, the network device mainly determines a downlink channel based on channel state information (CSI) fed back to the network device by the terminal device. In addition, precoding may be performed in another manner. For example, when channel state information (e.g., not limited to a channel matrix) cannot be obtained, precoding may be performed by using a preset precoding matrix or performed in a weighting processing manner. For brevity, the specific contents are not described in this specification.

[0085] 2. Delay information, angle information, and angle-delay information

[0086] When a signal is transmitted over a wireless channel, it may arrive at a receiving antenna from a transmitting antenna via multiple paths. Multipath delays cause frequency selective fading, i.e., variations in the frequency domain channel.

[0087] The delay information is the transmission time of the wireless signal in different transmission paths, which is determined by the distance and speed and is independent of the frequency domain of the wireless signal. When the signal is transmitted in different transmission paths, there are different transmission delays due to different distances. Since the physical positions of the network device and the terminal device are fixed, the multipath distribution of the uplink channel and the downlink channel are the same in terms of delay. Therefore, the delay information of the uplink channel and the downlink channel in the FDD mode is the same, in other words, it can be considered to be reciprocal.

[0088] The angle information may be the angle of arrival (AOA) at which a signal arrives at a receiving antenna through a wireless channel, or the angle of departure (AOD) at which a signal is transmitted through a transmitting antenna. In an embodiment of the present application, the angle information may be the angle of arrival at which an uplink signal arrives at a network device, or the angle of departure at which a network device transmits a downlink signal. Since the transmission paths of the uplink channel and the downlink channel at different frequencies are reciprocal, the angle of arrival of the uplink reference signal and the angle of departure of the downlink reference signal may be regarded as reciprocal.

[0089] The angle information described herein is in fact a function of dimension N tx* 1, and S(θ k ), where N tx is the number of antennas in the network device. Correspondingly, the delay information is actually a function of dimension N f * 1,

number

[0090] 3.Reference signal (RS)

[0091] The reference signal may also be referred to as a pilot, a reference sequence, etc. In an embodiment of the present application, the reference signal may be a reference signal used for channel measurement. For example, the reference signal may be a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) used for downlink channel measurement. It should be understood that the above listed reference signals are merely examples and should not constitute any limitation to the present application. The present application does not exclude the possibility of defining another reference signal in a future protocol to implement the same or similar functions. The reference signal used to obtain channel state information of the downlink channel may also be referred to as a downlink reference signal or CSI-RS.

[0092] The network device may precode the reference signal and then transmit the reference signal to the terminal device. Precoding may specifically include beamforming and / or phase rotation. Beamforming may be implemented, for example, by precoding the reference signal based on one or more angle vectors, and phase rotation may be implemented, for example, by precoding the reference signal based on one or more delay vectors.

[0093] The network devices perform precoding processing on the reference signal in different ways, and the terminal devices also feed back channel state information in different ways.

[0094] 4. Reference signal port

[0095] A port of a reference signal is an antenna port used to transmit a reference signal, and a network device may configure a quantity P of ports of the reference signal. In this specification, angle information and / or delay information may be loaded into each port of a reference signal, i.e., each port may be a port obtained after beamforming and / or phase rotation. For example, the reference signal of each port may be obtained by precoding the reference signal based on an angle vector and / or a delay vector.

[0096] The reference signal of each port may be transmitted in one or more frequency domain units. In this specification, it is defined that the transmission bandwidth of the reference signal is N f Suppose there are N frequency domain units. f The frequency domain units may be frequency domain units of contiguous or non-contiguous frequencies. Correspondingly, the index of the frequency domain unit is denoted in this application as N based on frequency value, etc., instead of the index of the system bandwidth. f The frequency domain unit index is described based on the sequence obtained after arranging N frequency domain units in the system bandwidth. f The index of the frequency domain unit may also be used in the description. However, the index is essentially the same. For ease of understanding and explanation, this will not be described again in this application.

[0097] 5. Frequency Domain Unit

[0098] A frequency domain unit, which may also be referred to as a frequency unit, represents a unit of a frequency domain resource and may represent different frequency domain resource granularities. The frequency domain unit may include, but is not limited to, one or more subbands (SB), one or more resource blocks (RB), one or more resource block groups (RBG), one or more precoding resource block groups (PRG), etc. In the following embodiments, all descriptions related to the frequency domain unit are described by using resource blocks. It should be understood that the RB is merely an example of a frequency domain unit and should not constitute any limitation to the present application. The specific definition of the frequency domain unit is not limited in the present application.

[0099] As noted above, precoding a reference signal based on one or more angle vectors may also be referred to as loading a reference signal with one or more angle vectors to implement beamforming. Precoding a reference signal based on one or more delay vectors may also be referred to as loading a reference signal with one or more delay vectors to implement phase rotation. Precoding a reference signal based on one or more pieces of angle and delay information may also be referred to as loading a reference signal with one or more pieces of angle and delay information to implement beamforming and phase rotation.

[0100] To construct complete channel state information (CSI) for the downlink channel, the reference signal may be precoded by using information that the uplink channel and the downlink channel are reciprocal, and the terminal device may report information that the uplink channel and the downlink channel are non-reciprocal. The network device then constructs the complete CSI based on the reciprocal information and the non-reciprocal information. The reciprocal information may include spatial domain information and frequency domain information, and the non-reciprocal information may include complex coefficients corresponding to each piece of angle-delay information.

[0101] For example, the uplink channel H UL may be expressed as: H UL =SC UL F H (1)

[0102] S has dimension N tx ×N tx is the spatial domain information matrix of the network, which corresponds physically to the arrival / departure angles of the network devices. F has dimension N f ×N f is the frequency domain information matrix of , which physically corresponds to the delay of each multipath signal arriving at a network device. C UL is a function of dimension N tx ×N f where R is a complex coefficient matrix of , and indicates the complex coefficients (sometimes called complex coefficients) corresponding to each piece of angle-delay information of the uplink channel.

[0103] Equation (2) may be expressed using vectorization and transformed as follows:

number

[0104]

number

[0105] The channel state information (CSI) acquisition solution based on the angle-delay information may include the following: the network device may load the spatial domain weight and / or frequency domain weight corresponding to the angle-delay information into the frequency domain unit of each port of the reference signal to acquire and transmit the precoded reference signal. Then, the terminal device performs channel estimation based on the reference signal to acquire the equivalent channel of each frequency domain unit on each port, which is:

number

number

[0106] In this embodiment of the present application, the channel state information CSI acquisition solution based on angle and delay information is related to an angle and delay information loading manner at the network device side and a CSI feedback mode at the terminal device side. Optionally, the channel state information CSI acquisition solution based on angle and delay information may include, but is not limited to, some of the following CSI acquisition solutions:

[0107] In the CSI acquisition solution 1, the angle-delay information loading method 1.1 is as follows: the angle-delay pair information is loaded into the port of the reference signal, and the angle-delay pair information includes one piece of angle information and one piece of delay information. In the CSI feedback mode 1.1, the terminal device loads N f A full-band accumulation is performed on the equivalent channel of the frequency domain units to obtain and report the complex coefficients of one piece of angle-delay pair information loaded at each port.

[0108] As shown in FIG. 2, the network device transmits the uplink channel H UL The terminal device estimates the angle information and delay information based on the p-th port, and loads the spatial domain weights and frequency domain weights corresponding to the angle information and delay information, respectively, into the frequency domain units of each port of the reference signal. The terminal device obtains the corresponding complex coefficients based on the reference signal. For example, the complex coefficient C of one piece of angle-assistance information loaded into the p-th port is DL p is as follows:

number

[0109]

number

[0110] In this way, the network device can calculate the complex coefficient matrix C of the downlink channel based on the spatial domain vector and the frequency domain vector having reciprocity. DL The complete channel state information can be constructed by referring to the complex coefficient matrix C DL is the complex coefficient C of each port DL P It can be determined based on:

[0111] In addition, to reduce the overhead of the reference signal, multiple pieces of angle-delay pair information may be loaded to one port in a combing manner. In one manner, for one port, the network device may load multiple pieces of angle-delay pair information to implement resource grouping for the transmission bandwidth of the reference signal. For example, assume that two-times combing is used, as shown in FIG. 3. N f The resource elements may be grouped into two groups in an index parity manner. As shown in FIG. 3, the first group is made up of the elements with indexes 2, 4, 6, ..., N. f and the second group contains the indices 1, 3, ..., N f As shown in Figure 3, the weight b1 of the first piece of angle-delay pair information is loaded into a first group, and the weight b2 of the second piece of angle-delay pair information is loaded into a second group.

[0112] In addition, frequency domain resources may be grouped by using multiple reference signal pattern (RS pattern) configurations or multiple reference signal resource configurations. Specifically, O reference signal patterns correspond to O resource block groups, or O resource configurations correspond to O resource block groups. For example, the resource configuration of CSI-RS includes two pattern configurations, which correspond to CSI-RS pattern 1 and CSI-RS pattern 2, respectively. The CSI-RS ports are divided into two groups, and each CSI-RS pattern corresponds to one group of CSI-RS ports. The CSI-RS ports of CSI-RS port group 1 are configured by using CSI-RS pattern 1, and the CSI-RS ports of CSI-RS port group 2 are configured by using CSI-RS pattern 2.

[0113] In another example, there are two CSI-RS resources and the CSI-RS ports are divided into two groups, with each CSI-RS resource corresponding to one group of CSI-RS ports, where the CSI-RS ports in CSI-RS port group 1 are configured by using CSI-RS resource 1 and the CSI-RS ports in CSI-RS port group 2 are configured by using CSI-RS resource 2.

[0114] In another scheme to reduce reference signal overhead, the density of reference signals is configured to be less than 1. For example, if the density is set to 0.25, this indicates that there is one reference signal for every four RBs. That is, a density of reference signals ρ (ρ<1 and exactly divisible by 1) indicates that there is one reference signal for every 1 / ρRBs.

[0115] It can be seen that CSI acquisition solution 1 is characterized by high implementation complexity on the network device side and low implementation complexity on the terminal device side.

[0116] In the CSI acquisition solution 2, the angle and delay information loading method 1.2 is as follows: angle information is loaded into the port of the reference signal, and the network device delivers the delay information acquired based on the uplink channel measurement to the terminal device by using signaling. In the CSI feedback mode 1.2, corresponding to the angle and delay information loading method 1.2 or the angle and delay information loading method 1.3, the terminal device may calculate the complex coefficient of each port according to the delivered delay information.

[0117] As shown in FIG. 4, the network device transmits the uplink channel H UL The network device estimates the angle information and delay information based on the reference signal, loads the spatial domain weights corresponding to the angle information into the frequency domain units of each port of the reference signal, and delivers the delay information F to the terminal device. For example, the frequency domain weights corresponding to the delay information are shown. The terminal device estimates the angle information and delay information based on the reference signal and the delay information F indicated by the network device, and delivers the corresponding complex coefficients

[0118] For example, complex coefficients

[0120] In this way, the network device can calculate the complex coefficient matrix C of the downlink channel based on the spatial domain vector and the frequency domain vector having reciprocity. DL The complete channel state information can be constructed by referring to the complex coefficient matrix C DL are the complex coefficients of each port

number

[0121] It can be seen that CSI acquisition solution 2 is characterized by low reference signal overhead and low implementation complexity on the network device side, but high implementation complexity on the terminal device side. In addition, CSI acquisition solution 1 is better than CSI acquisition solution 2 in improving system performance.

[0122] In the CSI acquisition solution 3, the angle-delay information loading method 1.3 is as follows: a part of the angle-delay pair information is loaded to a port of the reference signal. For example, the network device groups the acquired angle-delay pair information, and all pieces of the angle-delay pair information in the same group correspond to the same angle information. Then, the network device loads one piece of the angle-delay pair information of each group to a port of the reference signal, and delivers the delay information of the remaining angle-delay pair information of each group to the terminal device. Correspondingly, the CSI feedback mode may use the method described in the above CSI feedback mode 1.2.

[0123] The CSI acquisition solution 3 is characterized by a low reference signal overhead, and the implementation complexity on the network device side is between the above two CSI acquisition solutions. In terms of system performance improvement, the CSI acquisition solution 3 is worse than the CSI acquisition solution 1 and better than the CSI acquisition solution 2.

[0124] It can be seen that for different CSI acquisition solutions, the communication system has different overhead, performance and complexity. If the codebook corresponds to the channel measurement configuration of only one CSI acquisition solution, the channel information acquisition method cannot meet the requirements of overhead, performance, complexity, etc.

[0125] The present application provides a channel information acquisition method, in which multiple parameter configuration combinations are associated with the same codebook, which facilitates flexible configuration of channel information measurement, so that the corresponding CSI acquisition solution meets the requirements of overhead, performance, complexity, etc. The following description will be given with reference to the drawings.

[0126] FIG. 5 is a schematic flowchart of a channel information acquisition method according to an embodiment of the present application. The channel information acquisition method is applicable to a first device. Optionally, FIG. 5 uses an example in which the first device is a terminal device for explanation. For ease of explanation, the method shown in FIG. 5 is described from two ends: a network device and a terminal device. As shown in FIG. 5, the channel information acquisition method may include, but is not limited to, the following steps:

[0127] S101: A network device determines first indication information.

[0128] S102: The network device transmits first indication information.

[0129] The first indication information indicates one of a plurality of parameter configuration combinations of the reference signal, and the plurality of parameter configuration combinations are associated with the same codebook W. Optionally, the first indication information may indicate an index of the parameter configuration combination, which is not limited in this embodiment of the present application.

[0130] S103: The terminal device receives first indication information.

[0131] S104: The terminal device feeds back channel state information based on the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information.

[0132] In this embodiment of the present application, the multiple parameter configuration combinations may correspond to multiple implementation behaviors on the network device side, such as multiple angle-delay information loading methods of the port of the reference signal. Optionally, the multiple parameter configuration combinations may correspond to multiple implementation behaviors on the terminal device side, such as multiple channel state information CSI feedback modes. Thus, the multiple parameter configuration combinations are associated with the same codebook, so that these implementations can be implemented by using the same codebook.

[0133] In any embodiment, the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information is associated with an angle-delay information loading scheme. The angle-delay information loading scheme is a method by which the network device loads angle-delay information into a port of the reference signal when transmitting the reference signal. Based on this implementation, the network device can flexibly configure a parameter configuration combination required for channel information measurement, requirements for improving system performance, complexity, etc., based on the overhead of different angle-delay information loading schemes.

[0134] Since the network device may use the indicated parameter configuration combination, the network device can also use different angle and delay information loading schemes in the same codebook, which facilitates flexible configuration of channel measurement information and meets system requirements for overhead, performance, complexity, etc.

[0135] For example, the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information includes a quantity K of frequency domain vectors corresponding to each port of the reference signal, where K≧1. When K is equal to 1, angle-delay pair information is loaded to the port of the reference signal, such as angle-delay information loading scheme 1.1. When K is greater than 1, angle information or a part of angle-delay pair information is loaded to the port of the reference signal, such as angle-delay information loading scheme 1.2 or angle-delay information loading scheme 1.3.

[0136] In other words, when K is equal to 1, the terminal device does not need to perform a frequency domain search on the reference signal. In other words, all angle-delay pair information obtained through estimation is loaded into the port of the reference signal transmitted at the network device side, i.e., the angle-delay information loading method 1.1 is used. When K is greater than 1, all or part of the measured delay information is not loaded into the reference signal by the network device, so the terminal device needs to search the reference signal in the frequency domain to obtain information on the reciprocity of the complex coefficients for each frequency domain component. In other words, the network device delivers multiple pieces of delay information to the terminal device in the angle-delay information loading method 1.2 or the angle-delay information loading method 1.3. That is, the quantity of frequency domain vectors corresponding to each port corresponds to the amount of delay information that needs to be measured for each port.

[0137] In angle-delay information loading scheme 1.2, the network device distributes all delay information to the terminal device but does not load this information into the reference signal. In angle-delay information loading scheme 1.3, the network device distributes part of the delay information to the terminal device and loads part of the angle-delay pair information into the reference signal.

[0138] As another example, the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information includes a quantity M of frequency domain vectors selectable by the first device among K frequency domain vectors corresponding to each port of the reference signal, where K≧1, 1≦M≦K. When M is greater than 1, a portion of the angle information or angle-delay pair information is loaded into the port of the reference signal.

[0139] In another optional embodiment, the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information is associated with a channel state information CSI feedback mode. The angle-delay information loading scheme at the port of the reference signal is associated with the CSI feedback mode used by the terminal device. Thus, this implementation helps the terminal device to use the corresponding CSI feedback mode based on the indicated parameter configuration combination.

[0140] In yet another optional embodiment, the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information is associated with an angle-delay information loading scheme, and the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information is further associated with a CSI feedback mode. In this way, the network device side can flexibly select the angle-delay information loading scheme. In the terminal device, the corresponding CSI feedback mode that needs to be used can be learned in a timely manner to help meet the system requirements for overhead, performance, complexity, etc. Please refer to the above description for the related angle-delay information loading scheme and CSI feedback mode. Details will not be described again here.

[0141] In the following, this embodiment of the present application is further explained by using an optional codebook as an example.

[0142] In embodiment 1, multiple parameter configuration combinations are associated with the same codebook W. The codebook W satisfies the following properties:

number

[0143] W1 is an angle-delay information selection matrix or port selection matrix of dimension OP×L, indicating L pieces or L ports of angle and delay information selected by the terminal device from OP pieces or OP ports of angle and delay information, where O≧1, P≧1, 1≦L≦OP. O represents the amount of angle-delay pair information or angle information loaded into each port of the reference signal, or represents the quantity of resource configurations of the reference signal, or represents the quantity of pattern configurations of the reference signal. P represents the quantity of ports corresponding to one pattern configuration and one resource configuration of the reference signal, or represents the quantity of ports of the reference signal (e.g., when one resource configuration and one pattern configuration are configured for the reference signal).

[0144] Additionally, for the L pieces or L ports of angle and delay information selected in W1, L / 2 identical pieces or ports of angle and delay information may be selected for each polarization direction, or L / 2 different pieces or ports of angle and delay information may be selected for each polarization direction. ~ 2 is a complex coefficient matrix of dimension L × M, and W ~ 2 contains at most K0 nonzero elements, where 1≦K0≦L×M.

[0145] W f is a function of dimension N f × M frequency domain selection matrix, which indicates the M frequency domain vectors selected by the terminal device from the K frequency domain vectors corresponding to each port, where 1≦M≦K≦N f It is.

[0146] The parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information is the following parameters of the codebook W: O, P, L, N f , M, K and K0.

[0147] Optionally, the values of the above parameters of the codebook W may be transmitted to the terminal device by using one or more pieces of indication information, for example indicated separately by using one or more pieces of signaling, or indicated hierarchically by using multiple pieces of signaling. For example, P and L may be used as type 1 parameters, O may be used as type 2 parameter, N may be used as type 3 parameter, and so on. f , M and K may be used as Type 3 parameters and K0 may be used as a Type 4 parameter. A single piece of signaling may indicate one parameter of Type 1 and one parameter of Type 3 simultaneously. Alternatively, a single piece of signaling may indicate one parameter of Type 1, one parameter of Type 2 and one parameter of Type 3 simultaneously. Alternatively, a single piece of signaling may indicate one parameter of Type 1, one parameter of Type 3 and one parameter of Type 4 simultaneously. Alternatively, a single piece of signaling may indicate one parameter of Type 1, one parameter of Type 2, one parameter of Type 3 and one parameter of Type 4 simultaneously.

[0148] It can be seen that in this embodiment of the present application, when the network device loads the angle-delay pair information to the port of the reference signal, K may be set equal to 1. When the network device loads the angle information or a part of the angle-delay pair information to the port of the reference signal, K may be set greater than 1. Regardless of any implementation used by the network device, the network device may construct the channel state information by using the same codebook shown in equation (5). In this way, the network device may set W so that various implementations can be implemented by using the same codebook. f In addition, it facilitates flexible configuration of the channel information measurements to meet system requirements in terms of performance, overhead, complexity, etc.

[0149] For example, in the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information, K and M are equal to 1. In the indicated parameter configuration combination or the parameter configuration combination indicated by another signaling, P=8, N f = 52, O = 4, L = 24 and K0 = 24. Therefore, on the network device side, since K and M are equal to 1, the implementation described in angle-delay information loading scheme 1.1 may be used. On the terminal device side, since K and M are equal to 1, the implementation described in CSI feedback mode 1.1 may be used. Furthermore, the channel state information may be constructed based on the codebook shown in equation (5).

[0150] In another example, in the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information, K is equal to 4 or M=4. In the indicated parameter configuration combination or the parameter configuration combination indicated by another signaling, P=8, N f=52, O=1, L=4 and K0=24. On the network device side, since K is greater than 1 or M is greater than 1, the implementation described in angle-delay information loading scheme 1.2 or angle-delay information loading scheme 1.3 may be used. On the terminal device side, since K is greater than 1 or M is greater than 1, the implementation described in CSI feedback mode 1.2 or CSI feedback mode 1.3 may be used. Furthermore, the channel state information may be constructed based on the same codebook shown in equation (5).

[0151] In any implementation, the network device may configure some parameters such that the codebook W1 shown in equation (5) is simplified as an identity matrix. For example, W1 is an identity matrix when O×P is less than a first value, or when P is less than a second value, or when O is equal to 1. The first value and the second value may be signaled to the terminal device by using a protocol agreement or scheme indicated by the network device.

[0152] In this embodiment of the present application, the network device may use different implementations of W in the same codebook so that the terminal device may use different CSI acquisition solutions, such as different CSI feedback schemes. f Alternatively, the network device may configure the value of K or M in W to limit the configuration of another parameter. f It may constitute K or M in the above.

[0153] In any implementation, when K is equal to 1, O≧2. Or, when K is equal to 1, O=1, and the density of the reference signal is less than 1. When K is greater than 1 or M is greater than 1, O is equal to 1. In other words, when K is equal to 1, in addition to the corresponding implementation, the network device and the terminal device may further reduce the overhead of the reference signal by loading multiple pieces of angle-delay pair information to the port of the reference signal, or by configuring multiple resources or multiple patterns, or by configuring the density of the reference signal to be less than 1.

[0154] For example, in the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information, K is equal to 1 and M=1. In the indicated parameter configuration combination or the parameter configuration combination indicated by another signaling, P=8, N f = 52, O = 4, L = 24 and K0 = 24. In this way, a network device may use angle-delay information loading scheme 1.1 to load four pieces of angle-delay pair information on each port, or configure four resources or four patterns, to reduce reference signal overhead.

[0155] When K is equal to 1 and O is equal to 1, the density of the reference signal is less than 1. In other words, in addition to the corresponding embodiment described above, the network device and the terminal device may further reduce the overhead of the reference signal by reducing the density of the reference signal. For example, in the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information, K is equal to 1 and M=1. In the indicated parameter configuration combination or the parameter configuration combination indicated by another signaling, P=8, N f When =52, O=1, L=24 and K0=16, the density of the reference signal may be set to 0.25, which may reduce the reference signal overhead.

[0156] When K is greater than 1 or M is greater than 1, O is equal to 1. That is, the network device and the terminal device may reduce the required reference signal overhead by using a corresponding implementation, for example, by loading a part of the angle information or the angle-delay pair information. Therefore, O is equal to 1. For example, in the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information, K is equal to 4 and M=4. In the indicated parameter configuration combination or the parameter configuration combination indicated by another signaling, P=8, N fIn another example, in the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information, K is equal to 13 and M is 4. In the parameter configuration combination indicated by the indication information or another signaling, P=8, N f = 13, O = 1, L = 8 and K0 = 32.

[0157] In this embodiment of the present application, it is seen that by using the constraint relationships between the parameters, the reference signal overhead can be reduced while still meeting the performance and complexity requirements of each implementation.

[0158] In another optional implementation, when O is greater than 1, the angle-delay pair information is loaded into the port of the reference signal, and both M and K are equal to 1. In this implementation, it can be seen that the overhead is reduced in a manner in which multiple pieces of angle-delay pair information are loaded into each port of the reference signal. Thus, W f Only one frequency domain vector needs to be constructed, which avoids the high complexity problem caused by the terminal device needing to search multiple frequency domain vectors.

[0159] In this implementation, the value of parameter O in W1 may be constrained such that network devices may use different implementations for the same codebook to meet the requirements of each implementation on performance and reference signal overhead, and reduce the terminal side complexity by using the constraining relationship between the parameters.

[0160] In one implementation, each port of the reference signal corresponds to the K same frequency domain vectors in each resource configuration and each pattern configuration. In another implementation, each port of the reference signal may correspond to K different frequency domain vectors in each resource configuration and each pattern configuration, and the K frequency domain vectors corresponding to different ports in each resource configuration and each pattern configuration need to be configured separately.

[0161] Different resource configurations of the reference signal may correspond to K different frequency domain vectors. Optionally, the K frequency domain vectors corresponding to ports corresponding to the same resource configuration may be the same or different. Alternatively, different pattern configurations of the reference signal may correspond to K different frequency domain vectors. Optionally, the K frequency domain vectors corresponding to ports corresponding to the same pattern configuration may be the same or different. Alternatively, different ports of the reference signal correspond to K different frequency domain vectors.

[0162] In this embodiment of the present application, the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information further includes a window length K, or includes a window start point and a window length K or a window length 2K. The window is an index range of any frequency domain vector, including K frequency domain vectors corresponding to a portion of the reference signal.

[0163] Optionally, the indices of the K frequency domain vectors may be consecutive, in which case the starting index of the K frequency domain vectors, e.g. the start of the window, may be a default value or may be included in the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information, or may be indicated by another piece of signaling.

[0164] Optionally, the indices of the K frequency domain vectors may be non-contiguous, in which case the network device may indicate the K frequency domain vectors by using a window that includes the K frequency domain vectors.

[0165] Optionally, the network device may indicate the indices of the K frequency domain vectors by using another piece of signaling.

[0166] In embodiment 2, multiple parameter configuration combinations are associated with the same codebook W, and the codebook W satisfies the following properties:

number

[0167] W1 is a port selection matrix of dimension P×L, denoting the L ports selected by the first device from the P ports, where P≧1, 1≦L≦P.

[0168] P represents the quantity of ports corresponding to one pattern configuration and one resource configuration of the reference signal, or represents the quantity of ports of the reference signal (e.g., when a resource configuration and a pattern configuration are configured for the reference signal to perform channel measurement). In addition, for the L ports in W1, L / 2 identical ports may be selected for each polarization direction, or L / 2 different ports may be selected for each polarization direction.

[0169] W ~ 2 is a complex coefficient matrix of dimension L × M, and W ~ 2 contains at most K0 nonzero elements, where 1≦K0≦L×M.

[0170] W f is a function of dimension N f ×M frequency domain selection matrix indicating M frequency domain vectors selected by the first device from the K frequency domain vectors corresponding to each port, where 1≦M≦K≦N f It is.

[0171] The parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information is the following parameters of the codebook W: P, L, N f , M, K and K0 Contains one or more of the following:

[0172] Optionally, the values of the above parameters of the codebook W may be transmitted to the terminal device by using one or more pieces of indication information, for example indicated separately by using one or more pieces of signaling, or indicated hierarchically by using multiple pieces of signaling. For example, P and L may be used as type 1 parameters, N f , M and K may be used as Type 2 parameters, and K0 may be used as a Type 3 parameter. A single piece of signaling may indicate one parameter of Type 1 and one parameter of Type 2 simultaneously. Alternatively, a single piece of signaling may indicate one parameter of Type 1 and one parameter of Type 3 simultaneously. Alternatively, a single piece of signaling may indicate one parameter of Type 1, one parameter of Type 3, and one parameter of Type 4 simultaneously.

[0173] It can be seen that in this embodiment of the present application, when the network device loads the angle-delay pair information to the port of the reference signal, K may be set equal to 1. When the network device loads the angle information or a part of the angle-delay pair information to the port of the reference signal, K may be set greater than 1. Regardless of any implementation used by the network device, the network device may construct the channel state information by using the same codebook shown in equation (6). In this way, the network device may set W to W such that various implementations can be implemented by using the same codebook. f In addition, it facilitates flexible configuration of the channel information measurements to meet system requirements in terms of performance, overhead, complexity, etc.

[0174] For example, in the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information, K and M are equal to 1. In the indicated parameter configuration combination or the parameter configuration combination indicated by another signaling, P=32, N f= 52, L = 24 and K0 = 16. Therefore, on the network device side, since K and M are equal to 1, the implementation described in the angle-delay information loading scheme 1.1 may be used. On the terminal device side, since K and M are equal to 1, the implementation described in the CSI feedback mode 1.1 may be used. Furthermore, the channel state information may be constructed based on the codebook shown in equation (6). Optionally, P may be equal to 24.

[0175] In another example, in the indicated parameter configuration combination or in the parameter configuration combination indicated by another signaling, P=8, N f = 52, L = 4 and K0 = 24. Furthermore, the channel state information may be constructed based on the same codebook shown in equation (6).

[0176] In any implementation, the network device may configure some parameters such that the codebook W1 shown in equation (6) is simplified as an identity matrix. For example, when P is less than a third value, W1 is an identity matrix. The third value may be signaled to the terminal device by using a protocol agreement or scheme indicated by the network device.

[0177] In this embodiment of the present application, the network device may use different implementations of W in the same codebook so that the terminal device may use different CSI acquisition solutions, such as different CSI feedback schemes. f Alternatively, the network device may configure the value of K or M in W to limit the configuration of another parameter. f It may constitute K or M in the above.

[0178] In any implementation, when K is equal to 1, the density of the reference signal is less than 1. In other words, when K is equal to 1, in addition to the corresponding implementation described above, the network device and the terminal device may further reduce the overhead of the reference signal by reducing the density of the reference signal. For example, in the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information, K is equal to 1 and M=1. In the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information or the parameter configuration combination indicated by another signaling, P=32, N f = 52, L = 24 and K0 = 16. In this way, the network device may use the implementation described in the above angle-delay information loading method 1.1, and the terminal device may use the implementation described in the above CSI feedback mode 1.1. In addition, the network device may further configure the density of the reference signal to 0.25 to reduce the overhead of the reference signal. In another example, in the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information, K is equal to 1 and M = 1. In the indicated parameter configuration combination or the parameter configuration combination indicated by another signaling, P = 24, N f = 52, L = 24, and K0 = 16. In this example, the network device may use the implementation described in the above angle-delay information loading scheme 1.1, and the terminal device may use the implementation described in the above CSI feedback mode 1.1. Furthermore, the network device may alternatively set the density of the reference signal to 0.25 to reduce the reference signal overhead.

[0179] It can be seen that the implementation can reduce the reference signal overhead by using the constraint relationships between the parameters while meeting the performance and complexity requirements of each implementation.

[0180] In addition, the P ports of the reference signal may correspond to the K same frequency domain vectors, or the P ports of the reference signal may correspond to K different frequency domain vectors.

[0181] In this embodiment of the present application, the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information further includes a window length K, or further includes a window start point and a window length K or a window length 2K. The window is an index range of any frequency domain vector, including K frequency domain vectors corresponding to a portion of the reference signal.

[0182] Optionally, the indices of the K frequency domain vectors may be consecutive, in which case the starting index of the K frequency domain vectors, e.g. the start of the window, may be a default value or may be included in the parameter configuration combination indicated by the first indication information, or may be indicated by another piece of signaling.

[0183] Optionally, the indices of the K frequency domain vectors may be non-contiguous, in which case the network device may indicate the K frequency domain vectors by using a window that includes the K frequency domain vectors.

[0184] Optionally, the network device may indicate the indices of the K frequency domain vectors by using another piece of signaling.
