Abstract

A component name detection unit (8) detects component names and the positions of the component names, or pin numbers and the positions of the pin numbers by detecting strings of characters and the positions of the strings of characters included in a circuit diagram image. A component detection unit (9) detects the components included in the circuit diagram image and registers the types and areas of the components in a detected component list. A wiring detection unit (12) detects wirings on the basis of detected straight lines. A component-component name pairing unit (13) pairs the components with the component names on the basis of the positions of the component areas and the positions of the component names of the components registered in the detected component list. A connection detection unit (14) detects, from the circuit diagram image, connections between the components registered in the detected component list and the wirings, identifies two components connected by one or more wirings, and creates connection information that represents the connection between the identified two components when the two identified components are connected even in a network list.
