Abstract

To provide a vertical shaft pump which supplies a liquid to a space between a bearing and a shaft sleeve during an initial operation to prevent the bearing and the shaft sleeve from operating in a dry state.SOLUTION: A vertical shaft pump includes: a submerged bearing member rotatably supporting a rotary shaft to which an impeller is attached; a liquid storage tank in which a lubricating liquid for the submerged bearing member is stored; a first liquid supply duct line having an inlet end part connected to the liquid storage tank; a second liquid supply duct line having an outlet end part which supplies the lubricating liquid to the submerged bearing member; and a flow rate limitation member which is provided between the first liquid supply duct line and the second liquid supply duct line so as to limit a flow rate of the lubricating liquid entering the second liquid supply duct line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
