[0029] 1 to 3, an embodiment of the present invention provides a display panel 1000. Exemplarily, the display panel 1000 is an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display panel.

[0030] As shown in FIG. 1, the display panel 1000 includes a display area DA and a non-display area NDA. The display area DA may be an area used to install sub-pixels that display images. [0031] As shown in FIG. 3, the display panel 1000 includes an array substrate 1 , a light emitting device layer 3 and a support structure 5 .

[0032] The array substrate 1 includes a substrate 10 , a light-shielding layer 11 , a buffer layer 12 , a pixel driving circuit layer 13 and a planar layer 18 .

[0033] The substrate 10 is used to carry the film layers disposed thereon. At least a part of the light emitting device layer 3 is located within the display area DA.

[0039] The first conductive layer 31 includes a plurality of first electrodes 311 (i.e., anodes) electrically connected to the pixel driving circuits. The anodes may have a laminated film structure in which a material layer having a relatively high work function, such as indium tin oxide (ITO), indium zinc oxide (IZO), zinc oxide (ZnO), or indium oxide (In2O3), and a reflective material layer, such as, but not limited to, silver (Ag), magnesium (Mg), aluminum (Al), platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd), gold (Au), nickel (Ni), neodymium (Nd), iridium (Ir), chromium (Cr), lithium (Li), calcium (Ca), or a mixture thereof, are laminated.

[0040] The pixel definition layer 32 is located on the first conductive layer 31, and is provided with a plurality of openings 320 used to expose the first electrodes 311. The pixel definition layer 32 may include a resin such as polyacrylates or polyimides, a silica-based inorganic material, etc., and may absorb external light by a material including at least one of a black pigment and a dye, thereby reducing the reflectance of the external light and enhancing the contrast of the display device.

[0041] The organic layer 33 is located on the first conductive layer 31 and includes a first portion 331 and a plurality of second portions 332. Here, a part of the first portion 331 is located within the corresponding opening 320 of the pixel definition layer 32. Exemplarily, the first portion 331 is an integral structure (due to viewing angle issues, the portions represented by the two reference numerals 331 in FIG. 2 are actually connected to each other), the first portion 332 is provided with a plurality of openings, and the plurality of second portions 332 are cut from the first portion 331 at the locations of the plurality of openings. The organic layer 33 may include an organic light-emitting layer and a common layer, and may be fabricated by an ink-jet printing (IJP) method, for example. The organic light-emitting layer may include an organic material layer, and the common layer may include at least one of a first common layer and a second common layer, the first common layer including a hole injection layer and a hole transport layer, and the second common layer including an electron injection layer and an electron transport layer.

[0042] The second conductive layer 34 is located on the organic layer 33 and includes a second electrode 341 (i.e., a cathode) and a plurality of cut portions 342. Exemplarily, the second electrode 341 is an integral structure (due to viewing angle issues, the portions represented by the two reference numerals 341 in FIG. 2 are actually connected to each other), a plurality of openings are provided in the second electrode 341, and the plurality of cut portions 342 are cut from the second electrode 341 at the locations of the plurality of openings. Here, each of the cut portions 342 is located on the corresponding second portion 332 of the organic layer 33, the second electrode 341 is located on the first portion 331 of the organic layer 33, and a part of the first portion 331 is disposed between the first electrode 311 and the second electrode 341. Exemplarily, the second electrode 341 may be formed by deposition or sputtering, and includes a material layer having a relatively small work function, such as Li, Ca, an alloy of LiF and Ca, an alloy of LiF and Al, Al, Mg, Ag, Pt, Pd, Ni, Au, Nd, Ir, Cr, BaF2, Ba, or a compound or mixture thereof (e.g., a mixture of Ag and Mg). The second electrode 341 may further include a transparent metal oxide layer disposed on the material layer having a relatively small work function.

[0043] A plurality of the auxiliary structures 5 are located on the pixel driving circuit layer 13 and on the sides of the second electrode 341. At least one of the auxiliary structures 5 includes a base 50, an auxiliary electrode 51 and an auxiliary part 52, and is located in the display area DA.

[0044] The base 50 is located on the pixel driving circuit layer 13, and its cross section is approximately trapezoidal. The base 50 includes an outer surface, a bottom surface, and an upper surface, the bottom surface being close to the pixel driving circuit layer 13, the upper surface being connected to the outer surface and facing the bottom surface, and the length of the upper surface is smaller than that of the bottom surface. An included angle α (i.e., a taper angle) between the outer surface and a horizontal plane on which the bottom surface is located is an acute angle. Exemplarily, the included angle α is greater than or equal to 30° and less than or equal to 60°, so that the second electrode 341 can be more easily attached to the outer surface of the base 50. The base 50 may be manufactured in the same layer as the flat layer 18 or the pixel definition layer 32, and by having the base 50 be disposed in the same layer as the flat layer 18 or the pixel definition layer 32 and made of the same material, manufacturing costs can be saved.

[0045] The auxiliary electrode 51 is located on the outer surface of the base 50 and is connected to an edge of the second electrode 341 close to the auxiliary structure 5. As can be understood, the auxiliary electrode 51 is connected to the second electrode 341, and since the auxiliary electrode 51 and the second electrode 341 have a relatively large contact area, the auxiliary electrode 51 can be regarded as being connected in parallel with the second electrode 341, thereby reducing the resistance of the second electrode 341. Exemplarily, the auxiliary electrode 51 covers the upper surface and the outer surface of the base 50, and can ensure the contact area between the auxiliary electrode 51 and the second electrode 341. The auxiliary electrode 51 may be fabricated simultaneously with the first electrode 311, so that the auxiliary electrode 51 is disposed in the same layer and made of the same material as the first electrode 311, thus saving fabrication costs.

[0046] The auxiliary part 52 is located on the auxiliary electrode 51, and may have a cross section of a substantially inverted trapezoid or rectangle. An edge of the auxiliary part 52 is greater than a first distance D1 relative to an edge of the base 50, so that the organic layer 33 can be more easily cut at the edge of the auxiliary part 52, and the second part 332 of the organic layer 33 can be located on the auxiliary part 52. Exemplarily, the material of the auxiliary part 52 may include an organic material or an inorganic material, and the first distance D1 is greater than 0.5 μm. Here, the orthogonal projection of the edge of the second electrode 341 close to the auxiliary structure 5 on the substrate 10 is located within a boundary range of the orthogonal projection of the auxiliary part 52 on the substrate 10.

[0047] In this embodiment, the first portion 331 of the organic layer 33 and the corresponding second portion 332 are cut at the edge of the corresponding auxiliary portion 52, and the second electrode 341 of the second conductive layer 34 and the corresponding cut portion 342 are cut at the edge of the corresponding auxiliary portion 52. Thus, the organic layer 33 and the second conductive layer 34 can be blocked by a plurality of the auxiliary structures 5. The base 50 is fabricated at a location where the second electrode 341 (i.e., the cathode) and the auxiliary electrode need to abut, and the auxiliary electrode 51 formed by metal coating is coated on the upper side of the base 50. At the same time, the inclination angle of the base 50 is an acute angle, which can improve the probability of abutment between the second electrode 341 and the auxiliary electrode 51. The edge of the second electrode 341 close to the auxiliary portion 52 is connected in parallel with the auxiliary electrode 51 beyond the edge of the first portion 331 close to the auxiliary portion 52. By connecting the auxiliary electrode 51 and the second electrode 341 in parallel, the resistance of the second electrode 341 can be reduced, and the phenomenon of uneven screen display on a large panel caused by voltage drop due to cathode impedance can be improved.

[0048] 2, in actual manufacturing, a part of the first portion 331 of the organic layer 33 may contact the auxiliary electrode 51, and in order to ensure the connection between the second electrode 341 and the auxiliary electrode 51, the deposition angle can be controlled to allow the second electrode 341 to contact the auxiliary electrode 51 with an area larger than that of the first portion 331 below. That is, the overlapping area between the second electrode 341 and the auxiliary electrode 51 on the base 50 is larger than the overlapping area between the first portion 331 and the auxiliary electrode 51 on the base 50, and the second electrode 341 and the auxiliary electrode 51 have a stable electrical connection, which further reduces the resistance of the second electrode 341 and improves the uniformity of the screen display.

[0049] In another embodiment, the heights of the auxiliary structures 5 are uniform and are evenly distributed in the display area DA, so that the contact between the second electrode 341 and the auxiliary electrodes 51 is more uniform and the resistance of the cathodes in the panel plane is uniform.

[0050] In a possible embodiment, by controlling the deposition process of the second electrode 341, the second electrode 341 does not need to be cut into multiple cut portions 342, and the second electrode 341 can be a complete electrode, which can further improve the uniformity of the cathode resistance within the panel surface.

[0051] In a possible embodiment, the display panel further includes an encapsulation layer located on the light emitting device layer 3 and the auxiliary structure 5, the encapsulation layer including a first inorganic encapsulation layer, a first organic encapsulation layer and a second inorganic encapsulation layer stacked together. A portion of the encapsulation layer located on the auxiliary structure 5 extends along the contour of the auxiliary structure 5. Exemplarily, a portion of the first inorganic layer and a portion of the second inorganic layer extend along the contour of the auxiliary structure 5, and the organic layer 33 may be disposed continuously or cut at an edge of the auxiliary portion 52 of the auxiliary structure 5. This can enhance the encapsulation effect on the sub-pixels in the display area DA.

[0052] Furthermore, if necessary, at least one auxiliary structure 5 may be provided in the non-display area NDA, and the auxiliary structure 5 may be multiplexed as a barrier structure, where the first inorganic layer and the second inorganic layer are located on the auxiliary structure 5 multiplexed as a barrier structure, and the organic layer 33 is located on one side of the auxiliary structure 5 multiplexed as a barrier structure, close to the center of the display panel.

[0053] Further, the display panel further includes a first barrier located on the pixel driving circuit layer 13, and the first barrier is located on one side of the auxiliary structure 5, which is multiplexed as a barrier structure, away from the center of the display panel. The first inorganic layer and the second inorganic layer are further located on the first barrier, and the organic layer 33 is located on one side of the first barrier, which is closer to the center of the display panel. The top of the first barrier is higher than the top of the auxiliary structure 5. In this embodiment, the first barrier may be a main barrier having a relatively large height, and the auxiliary structure 5 located in the non-display area NDA of the display panel is multiplexed as an auxiliary barrier having a relatively small height, so as to further ensure the sealing performance.

[0054] An embodiment of the present invention further provides a display device, which includes the above-described display panel 1000. The display device is a device having a display function, and exemplarily, the display device may be a device for displaying videos or still images, and may include fixed terminals such as televisions, desktop computers, monitors, or signboards, and may include mobile terminals such as mobile phones, tablet computers, mobile communication terminals, electronic organizers, e-books, multimedia players, navigators, or notebook computers, and may further include wearable electronic devices such as smart watches, smart glasses, virtual reality devices, or augmented reality devices.

[0055] Above, the embodiments of the present invention are introduced in detail, and the principles and embodiments of the present invention are described in detail by applying specific examples in this specification. The above description of the embodiments is only used to help understand the method of the present invention and its core idea. At the same time, those skilled in the art can make any changes in the specific embodiments and application scope according to the idea of the present invention.
