[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a management device. [Background technology]

[0002] The injection molding machine has a mold clamping device and an injection device. The mold clamping device and the injection device are surrounded by a safety cover. For example, JP 2020-006633 A discloses an injection molding machine surrounded by a safety cover. The safety cover is provided with a gate, and the gate is provided with a safety door. When the safety door closes the gate, the safety cover separates the injection molding machine from the outside. This ensures the safety of the user of the injection molding machine. Summary of the Invention

[0003] As a peripheral device that can access the clamping unit of an injection molding machine, there is a molded product removal device that removes a molded product from the clamping unit. The molded product removal device may be enclosed in a safety cover. This safety cover is also provided with a gate, and the gate is provided with a safety door.

[0004] The opening and closing information of the safety gate provided on the gate of the safety cover surrounding the mold clamping device and the safety gate provided on the gate of the safety cover surrounding the molded product removal device is not shared. Therefore, there is a concern that the peripheral equipment may be unnecessarily stopped due to the opening of a gate that is unrelated to the gate provided on the safety cover that separates the peripheral equipment from the outside.

[0005] The present invention aims to solve the above-mentioned problems.

[0006] An aspect of the present invention is a management device that manages a plurality of monitoring devices for monitoring dangerous conditions caused by access to peripheral equipment accessible to an injection molding machine, and includes an acquisition unit that acquires monitoring states detected by each of the plurality of monitoring devices, a memory unit that stores a table that associates operating information indicating whether or not operation of the peripheral equipment is permitted for each combination pattern of monitoring states that can be combined by the plurality of monitoring devices, a judgment unit that judges whether or not to stop the peripheral equipment based on each of the monitoring states acquired by the acquisition unit and the table, and a signal output unit that outputs a stop signal to the peripheral equipment when it is determined that the peripheral equipment should be stopped.

[0007] According to an aspect of the present invention, a peripheral device can be stopped only when it is assumed that the user can access the peripheral device, thereby appropriately ensuring the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral device while ensuring user operability. [0015] In this embodiment, the safety cover 16 has a first cover 181 that separates the injection molding machine 12 from the outside, and a second cover 182 that separates the peripheral equipment 14 from the outside. The first cover 181 has a front wall, a rear wall, a right wall, and a left wall, with the operation panel 23 as its front. The second cover 182 has a rear wall, a right wall, and a left wall, with the operation panel 23 as its front. The right wall and the left wall of the second cover 182 are connected to the rear wall of the first cover 181. The peripheral equipment 14 is disposed between the right wall and the left wall of the second cover 182.

[0016] A purge gate G1 and a front gate G2 are formed on the front wall of the first cover 181 with a gap between them in the left-right direction. The purge gate G1 is provided in front of the injection unit 20. The front gate G2 is provided in front of the mold clamping unit 18. A rear gate G3 is formed on the rear wall of the first cover 181. The rear gate G3 is provided behind the mold clamping unit 18. A sub-gate G4 is formed on the rear wall of the second cover 182. The sub-gate G4 is formed behind the peripheral equipment 14.

[0017] 3 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the injection molding system 10. The injection molding machine 12 is provided with an open / close detection sensor 24 corresponding to each of the multiple safety doors 22. Each of the multiple open / close detection sensors 24 is a monitoring device for monitoring a dangerous state caused by access to the peripheral device 14. Each of the multiple open / close detection sensors 24 detects whether the gate of the corresponding safety door 22 is open or closed. Each of the multiple open / close detection sensors 24 outputs a detection signal to a control device 26 of the injection molding machine 12.

[0018] The control device 26 is a device that controls the injection molding machine 12. The control device 26 controls the mold clamping device 18 to cause the mold clamping device 18 to perform a mold closing operation or a mold opening operation. The control device 26 also controls the injection device 20 to cause the injection device 20 to perform an injection operation, a pressure holding operation, or a metering operation.

[0019] A control device 28 of the peripheral device 14 is connected to the control device 26 via a wired or wireless communication path. The control device 28 is a device that controls the peripheral device 14. The control device 28 controls the peripheral device 14 to cause the peripheral device 14 to execute a predetermined operation. In this embodiment, the control device 28 causes the peripheral device 14 (molded product removal device) to execute a molded product removal operation.

[0020] In this embodiment, the control device 26 is provided with a management device 30. Fig. 4 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the management device 30. The management device 30 manages the open / closed states of the multiple safety gates 22. The management device 30 has a signal processing unit 32, a storage unit 33, a display unit 34, and an input unit 35.

[0021] The signal processing unit 32 is configured by a processor such as a CPU, a GPU, etc. The storage unit 33 includes a volatile memory such as a RAM, and a non-volatile memory such as a ROM, a flash memory, a hard disk, etc. At least a part of the storage unit 33 may be provided in the processor.

[0022] The display unit 34 displays information based on a signal supplied from the signal processing unit 32. The display unit 34 may be provided on the operation panel 23. An example of the display unit 34 is a liquid crystal display. The input unit 35 outputs information input in response to a user's operation to the signal processing unit 32. The input unit 35 includes the operation panel 23.

[0023] The signal processing unit 32 has an acquisition unit 36, a determination unit 38, a signal output unit 40, and a notification unit 42. The acquisition unit 36, the determination unit 38, the signal output unit 40, and the notification unit 42 may be realized by the signal processing unit 32 processing a program stored in the storage unit 33. At least one of the acquisition unit 36, the determination unit 38, the signal output unit 40, and the notification unit 42 may be realized by an integrated circuit such as an ASIC or an FPGA. At least one of the acquisition unit 36, the determination unit 38, the signal output unit 40, and the notification unit 42 may be configured by an electronic circuit including a discrete device.

[0024] The acquisition unit 36 acquires the gate open / closed states of the multiple safety doors 22 based on the detection signals output from the respective open / close detection sensors 24. The determination unit 38 determines whether or not to stop the peripheral device 14 based on the gate open / closed states acquired by the acquisition unit 36 and the table stored in the storage unit 33. The signal output unit 40 outputs a stop signal to the peripheral device 14 when it is determined that the peripheral device 14 is to be stopped. The notification unit 42 notifies the user of an abnormality when the gate open / closed state acquired by the acquisition unit 36 is not in the table. For example, the notification unit 42 may notify the user of an abnormality by displaying characters or the like indicating the abnormality on the display screen of the display unit 34. Alternatively, the notification unit 42 may notify the user of an abnormality by outputting a sound indicating the abnormality from a speaker (not shown). Alternatively, the notification unit 42 may notify the user of an abnormality by causing a light-emitting unit (not shown) to emit light in a light-emitting pattern indicating the abnormality.

[0025] 5 is a diagram showing a table stored in the storage unit 33. The table associates operation information indicating whether or not the peripheral device 14 is permitted to operate with each combination pattern of gate open / close states that can be combined by the multiple open / close detection sensors 24.

[0026] The purge gate G1 is irrelevant from the viewpoint of user safety for the peripheral device 14. Therefore, the purge gate G1 is not taken into consideration in the gate open / closed state in the table of FIG.

[0027] In the gate open / close state where the rear gate G3 and sub-gate G4 are closed and the front gate G2 is open, the peripheral equipment 14 is separated from the outside (see the two-dot chain line in FIG. 6). In other words, the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral equipment 14 is ensured. In such a gate open / close state, maintenance of the injection molding machine 12 can be performed. Therefore, the operation information corresponding to the gate open / close state where the rear gate G3 and sub-gate G4 are closed and the front gate G2 is open indicates that operation is permitted (see the second from the top in FIG. 5).

[0028] In the gate open / close state where the front gate G2 and sub-gate G4 are closed and the rear gate G3 is open, the peripheral equipment 14 is separated from the outside (see the two-dot chain line in FIG. 2). In other words, the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral equipment 14 is ensured. In such a gate open / close state, a molded product removal operation can be performed to remove a molded product from the injection molding machine 12. Therefore, the operation information corresponding to the gate open / close state where the front gate G2 and sub-gate G4 are closed and the rear gate G3 is open indicates operation permission (see the third from the top in FIG. 5).

[0029] Although not shown, in the gate open / close state where the front gate G2, rear gate G3, and sub-gate G4 are closed, the peripheral device 14 is separated from the outside. In other words, the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral device 14 is ensured. Therefore, the driving information corresponding to the gate open / close state where the front gate G2, rear gate G3, and sub-gate G4 are closed indicates that driving is permitted (see the first one from the top in FIG. 5).

[0030] Although not shown, in the gate open / close state in which the sub-gate G4 is open, the peripheral device 14 is not isolated from the outside. In other words, the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral device 14 is not ensured. Therefore, the operation information corresponding to the gate open / close state in which the sub-gate G4 is open indicates that operation is not permitted (see the fourth from the top in FIG. 5).

[0031] Next, a management method of the management device 30 will be described. Fig. 7 is a flowchart showing the flow of management processing of the management device 30. The management processing of the management device 30 is repeatedly executed in a predetermined cycle. The flowchart of Fig. 7 shows the management processing executed in one cycle.

[0032] In step S1, the acquisition unit 36 acquires the gate open / closed states of the multiple safety doors 22 based on the detection signals output from the respective open / close detection sensors 24. When the gate open / closed states of the multiple safety doors 22 are acquired, the management process proceeds to step S2.

[0033] In step S2, the determination unit 38 determines whether or not there is a combination pattern in the table that matches the gate open / close state acquired in step S1. If there is no combination pattern in the table that matches the gate open / close state acquired in step S1, the management process proceeds to step S3. Conversely, if there is a combination pattern in the table that matches the gate open / close state acquired in step S1, the management process proceeds to step S4.

[0034] In step S3, the notification unit 42 notifies the user of the abnormality. When the abnormality is notified, the management process ends.

[0035] In step S4, the determination unit 38 determines whether or not to stop the peripheral device 14 based on the operation information associated with the combination pattern that matches the gate open / close state acquired in step S1. That is, if the operation information associated with the combination pattern that matches the gate open / close state acquired in step S1 indicates operation permission, the determination unit 38 determines not to stop the peripheral device 14. In this case, the management process ends. Conversely, if the operation information associated with the combination pattern that matches the gate open / close state acquired in step S1 indicates that operation is not permitted, the determination unit 38 determines to stop the peripheral device 14. In this case, the management process proceeds to step S5.

[0036] In step S5, the signal output unit 40 outputs a stop signal to the peripheral device 14 to stop a predetermined operation of the peripheral device 14. In this embodiment, the peripheral device 14 is a molded product removal device, and the predetermined operation is a molded product removal operation. When the stop signal is output to the peripheral device 14, the management process ends.

[0037] As described above, in this embodiment, the management device 30 judges whether or not to stop the peripheral device 14 based on the table stored in the storage unit 33. In this table, operation information indicating whether or not the operation of the peripheral device 14 is permitted is associated with each combination pattern of gate opening / closing states that can be combined with the multiple safety doors 22. The multiple safety doors 22 include a safety door 22 that opens and closes the gate of the first cover 181 that surrounds the mold clamping device 18, and a safety door 22 that opens and closes the gate of the second cover 182 that surrounds the peripheral device 14. Therefore, the management device 30 can stop the peripheral device 14 only when it is assumed that the user can access the peripheral device 14. As a result, the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral device 14 can be appropriately ensured while ensuring the operability of the user.

[0038] The above embodiment may be modified as follows.

[0039] (Variation 1) Fig. 8 is a diagram showing an injection molding system 10 according to Modification 1. In Fig. 8, components equivalent to those described above are given the same reference numerals. Note that in this modification, explanations that overlap with those described above will be omitted.

[0040] In the injection molding system 10 according to the first modification, a molded product removal device is used as the peripheral device 14. This peripheral device 14 is installed in a different location from that of the embodiment. That is, in this modification, the peripheral device 14 is installed above the fixed platen of the mold clamping unit 18. The peripheral device 14 (molded product removal device) removes the molded product from above the mold clamping unit 18.

[0041] In the injection molding system 10 according to the first modification, the safety cover 16 does not have the second cover 182. Therefore, there is no sub-gate G4. In this modification, a safety door 22 for opening and closing the purge gate G1, a safety door 22 for opening and closing the front gate G2, and a safety door 22 for opening and closing the rear gate G3 are provided.

[0042] Fig. 9 is a diagram showing a table according to Modification 1. As in the embodiment, the purge gate G1 is irrelevant from the viewpoint of the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral device 14. Therefore, the gate open / closed state in the table of Fig. 9 does not take the purge gate G1 into consideration.

[0043] In the gate open / close state where the front gate G2 and the rear gate G3 are closed, the mold clamping device 18 to which the peripheral device 14 has access is separated from the outside. In other words, the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral device 14 is ensured. Therefore, the operation information corresponding to the gate open / close state where the front gate G2 and the rear gate G3 are closed indicates operation permission (see the first from the top in FIG. 9).

[0044] In a gate open / close state in which at least one of the front gate G2 and the rear gate G3 is open, the mold clamping device 18 to which the peripheral device 14 has access is not separated from the outside. In other words, the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral device 14 is not ensured. Therefore, the operation information corresponding to the gate open / close state in which at least one of the front gate G2 and the rear gate G3 is open indicates that operation is not permitted (see the second to fourth from the top in FIG. 9).

[0045] Using such a table, the management device 30 can determine whether to stop the peripheral device 14, as in the embodiment. This allows the management device 30 to stop the peripheral device 14 only when it is assumed that the user can access the peripheral device 14. As a result, it is possible to appropriately ensure the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral device 14 while ensuring operability for the user.

[0046] (Variation 2) Fig. 10 is a diagram showing an injection molding system 10 according to Modification 2. In Fig. 10, components equivalent to those described above are given the same reference numerals. Note that in this modification, explanations that overlap with those described above will be omitted.

[0047] In the injection molding system 10 according to the second modification, a second injection molding machine 120 is provided in addition to the injection molding machine 12. The type of the second injection molding machine 120 may be the same as or different from the type of the injection molding machine 12. However, the second injection molding machine 120 has a mold clamping device 18 and an injection device 20.

[0048] In the injection molding system 10 according to the second modification, the safety cover 16 surrounds the injection molding machine 12, the second injection molding machine 120, and the peripheral device 14. In this modification, the safety cover 16 has a third cover 183 in addition to the first cover 181 and the second cover 182. The third cover 183 is a cover that separates the second injection molding machine 120 from the outside. The third cover 183 is provided with an operation panel 230. The third cover 183 has a front wall, a rear wall, a right wall, and a left wall with the operation panel 230 as the front side.

[0049] A purge gate G10 and a front gate G20 are formed on the front wall of the third cover 183 with a gap between them in the left-right direction. The purge gate G10 is provided in front of the injection device 20 of the second injection molding machine 120. The front gate G20 is provided in front of the mold clamping device 18 of the second injection molding machine 120. A rear gate G30 is formed on the rear wall of the third cover 183. The rear gate G30 is provided behind the mold clamping device 18 of the second injection molding machine 120.

[0050] The second cover 182 according to the second modification is disposed between the rear wall of the first cover 181 and the rear wall of the third cover 183. The second cover 182 has two side walls. Each of the two side walls of the second cover 182 is connected to the rear wall of the first cover 181 and the rear wall of the third cover 183, respectively. The peripheral device 14 is disposed between the two side walls of the second cover 182.

[0051] In the above embodiment, the sub-gate G4 was formed on the rear wall of the second cover 182, but in this modified example, the second cover 182 does not have a rear wall, and the sub-gate G4 is formed on one of the two side walls of the second cover 182.

[0052] Fig. 11 is a diagram showing a table according to Modification 2. As in the above embodiment, purge gate G1 and purge gate G10 are irrelevant from the viewpoint of the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral device 14. Therefore, the gate open / closed state in the table of Fig. 11 does not take into account purge gate G1 and purge gate G10.

[0053] 11 corresponds to the front gate G2 in Fig. 10, and the rear gate_1 in Fig. 11 corresponds to the rear gate G3 in Fig. 10. Moreover, the front gate_2 in Fig. 11 corresponds to the front gate G20 in Fig. 10, and the rear gate_2 in Fig. 11 corresponds to the rear gate G30 in Fig. 10.

[0054] In the gate open / close state in which the front gate G2, the front gate G20, and the sub-gate G4 are closed and the rear gate G3 and the rear gate G30 are open, the peripheral equipment 14 is separated from the outside (see the two-dot chain line in FIG. 10). In other words, the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral equipment 14 is ensured. In the gate open / close state as described above, a molded product removal operation for removing a molded product from the injection molding machine 12 and a molded product removal operation for removing a molded product from the second injection molding machine 120 can be executed. Therefore, the operation information corresponding to the gate open / close state in which the front gate G2, the front gate G20, and the sub-gate G4 are closed and the rear gate G3 and the rear gate G30 are open indicates operation permission (see the first from the top in FIG. 11).

[0055] In the gate open / close state where the front gate G2, rear gate G30 and sub-gate G4 are closed and the front gate G20 and rear gate G3 are open, the peripheral equipment 14 is separated from the outside (see the two-dot chain line in FIG. 12). In other words, the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral equipment 14 is ensured. In such a gate open / close state, maintenance of the second injection molding machine 120 can be performed. Therefore, the operation information corresponding to the gate open / close state where the front gate G2, rear gate G30 and sub-gate G4 are closed and the front gate G20 and rear gate G3 are open indicates operation permission (see the third from the top in FIG. 11).

[0056] Although not shown, in a gate open / close state in which the front gate G20, rear gate G3, and sub-gate G4 are closed and the front gate G2 and rear gate G30 are open, the peripheral equipment 14 is separated from the outside. In such a gate open / close state, maintenance of the injection molding machine 12 can be performed. Therefore, the operation information corresponding to the gate open / close state in which the front gate G20, rear gate G3, and sub-gate G4 are closed and the front gate G2 and rear gate G30 are open indicates operation permission (see the second from the top in FIG. 11).

[0057] Although not shown, in a gate open / close state in which the rear gate G3, the rear gate G30, and the sub-gate G4 are closed and the front gate G2 and the front gate G20 are open, the peripheral equipment 14 is separated from the outside. In such a gate open / close state, maintenance can be performed on both the injection molding machine 12 and the second injection molding machine 120. Therefore, the operation information corresponding to the gate open / close state in which the rear gate G3, the rear gate G30, and the sub-gate G4 are closed and the front gate G2 and the front gate G20 are open indicates operation permission (see the fourth from the top in FIG. 11).

[0058] Although not shown, in the gate open / close state in which the front gate G2, the rear gate G3, the front gate G20, the rear gate G30, and the sub-gate G4 are closed, the peripheral devices 14 are separated from the outside. Therefore, the driving information corresponding to the gate open / close state in which the front gate G2, the rear gate G3, the front gate G20, the rear gate G30, and the sub-gate G4 are closed indicates driving permission (see the fifth from the top in FIG. 11).

[0059] In cases other than the above-mentioned five gate opening / closing states, the peripheral device 14 is not isolated from the outside. In other words, the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral device 14 is not ensured. Therefore, the operation information corresponding to the gate opening / closing states other than the above-mentioned four gate opening / closing states indicates that operation is not permitted (see the sixth to eighth from the top in FIG. 11).

[0060] Using such a table, the management device 30 can determine whether to stop the peripheral device 14, as in the above embodiment. This allows the management device 30 to stop the peripheral device 14 only when it is assumed that the user can access the peripheral device 14. As a result, it is possible to appropriately ensure the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral device 14 while ensuring operability for the user.

[0061] (Variation 3) The storage unit 33 may store a table for each system having a different installation position or number of safety gates 22. For example, a table for the injection molding system 10 according to the embodiment (FIG. 5), a table for the injection molding system 10 according to Modification 1 (FIG. 9), and a table for the injection molding system 10 according to Modification 2 (FIG. 11) may be stored in the storage unit 33. In this way, even if the type, arrangement, etc. of the peripheral device 14 changes, the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral device 14 can be appropriately ensured.

[0062] (Variation 4) When a table is stored for each system, the user may select a current system from among a plurality of systems. Fig. 13 is a block diagram showing a modified configuration of the management device 30. In Fig. 13, components equivalent to those described above are given the same reference numerals. Note that in this modified example, explanations that overlap with those described above will be omitted.

[0063] The management device 30 is newly equipped with a display control unit 44. The display control unit 44 causes the display unit 34 to display a selection screen for selecting a current system from among a plurality of systems.

[0064] Fig. 14 is a diagram showing an example of a selection screen. On the selection screen, icons CN1 to CN4 are displayed which indicate system configurations corresponding to tables stored in storage unit 33. In the example shown in Fig. 14, icon CN1 indicates the configuration of injection molding system 10 according to the above embodiment. Icons CN2 and CN3 indicate the configuration of injection molding system 10 according to modified example 1. Icon CN4 indicates the configuration of injection molding system 10 according to modified example 2.

[0065] Each of the icons CN1 to CN4 displays the safety cover 16, the safety door 22, the peripheral device 14, and a safety fence for the peripheral device 14. This allows the user to select the icon CN3, etc., corresponding to the current system, using the input unit 35, while understanding in detail the form of the system corresponding to the table stored in the storage unit 33. The safety fence for the peripheral device 14 is an outer frame part of the range in which the user cannot access the peripheral device 14, and is composed of the safety door 22 that closes the gate and a part of the safety cover 16.

[0066] When, for example, the icon CN3 is selected in response to a user operation, the determination unit 38 determines whether or not to stop the peripheral device 14 based on the table corresponding to the system indicated by the selected icon CN3. This reduces the load required for the determination compared to the case where all tables stored for each system are referenced.

[0067] (Variation 5) The notification unit 42 may not be provided. If the notification unit 42 is not provided, step S3 of the management process (see FIG. 7) is not executed. Even if the notification unit 42 is not provided, the same effects as those of the above embodiment can be obtained.

[0068] (Variation 6) The management device 30 may be provided in the control device 28 of the peripheral device 14 instead of the control device 26 of the injection molding machine 12. Even if the management device 30 is provided in the control device 28 of the peripheral device 14, the same effects as those of the above embodiment can be obtained. In this case, the open / close detection sensor 24 may be connected to the peripheral device 14, or the results of individual open / close detection detected by the injection molding machine 12 may be notified to the peripheral device 14.

[0069] (Variation 7) There may be provided a plurality of peripheral devices 14. Even when a plurality of peripheral devices 14 is provided, the same effects as those of the above embodiment can be obtained.

[0070] (Variation 8) If the peripheral device 14 is accessible to the injection unit 20 of the injection molding machine 12, a purge gate G1 may be added to the table. This table is the table according to the embodiment (FIG. 5), the table according to the modified example 1 (FIG. 9), or the table according to the modified example 2 (FIG. 11). According to this modified example, the range of safety monitoring can be expanded. In other words, the same effect as the above embodiment can be obtained with respect to the range of danger caused by the peripheral device 14.

[0071] (Variation 9) An area sensor may be used instead of the open / close detection sensor 24 as a monitoring device for monitoring a dangerous state caused by accessing the peripheral device 14. The area sensor detects the presence or absence of a person in a predetermined area. In this case, the acquisition unit 36 acquires the state of the presence or absence of a person in each area based on detection signals output from the multiple area sensors. Furthermore, the table associates operation information indicating whether or not operation of the peripheral device 14 is permitted for each combination pattern of the presence or absence of a person in the multiple areas. Thus, the determination unit 38 can determine whether or not to stop the peripheral device 14 based on the state of the presence or absence of a person in each area acquired by the acquisition unit 36 and the table.

[0072] (Variation 10) The multiple safety doors 22 may not be provided. In this case, a gate sensor is provided instead of the open / close detection sensor 24 as a monitoring device for monitoring a dangerous state caused by accessing the peripheral device 14. The gate sensor detects whether or not there is access to the gate based on the result of receiving the laser irradiated from the laser irradiation unit. The acquisition unit 36 acquires the state of whether or not there is access to each gate based on the detection signals output from the multiple gate sensors. Furthermore, the table associates operation information indicating whether or not the operation of the peripheral device 14 is permitted with each combination pattern of the presence or absence of access to the multiple gates. Thus, the determination unit 38 can determine whether or not to stop the peripheral device 14 based on the state of whether or not there is access to each gate acquired by the acquisition unit 36 and the table.

[0073] (Variation 11) At least two of the above-mentioned open / close detection sensor 24, area sensor, and gate sensor may be combined as a monitoring device for monitoring a dangerous state caused by accessing the peripheral device 14. Furthermore, a sensor other than the above-mentioned open / close detection sensor 24, area sensor, and gate sensor may be adopted as the monitoring device. In this case, the acquisition unit 36 acquires monitoring states detected by the multiple monitoring devices. Furthermore, the table associates operation information indicating whether or not operation of the peripheral device 14 is permitted with each combination pattern of monitoring states that can be combined by the multiple monitoring devices. Thus, the determination unit 38 can determine whether or not to stop the peripheral device 14 based on each monitoring state acquired by the acquisition unit 36 and the table.

[0074] (Variation 12) The above modifications may be combined in any manner as long as no contradiction occurs.

[0075] 〔invention〕 The invention that can be understood from the embodiments will be described below.

[0076] The present invention provides a management device (30) that manages a plurality of monitoring devices for monitoring dangerous conditions caused by access to a peripheral device (14) accessible to an injection molding machine (12), and includes an acquisition unit (36) that acquires monitoring states detected by each of the plurality of monitoring devices, a memory unit (33) that stores a table in which operation information indicating whether or not operation of the peripheral device is permitted is associated with each combination pattern of monitoring states that can be combined by the plurality of monitoring devices, a determination unit (38) that determines whether or not to stop the peripheral device based on each of the monitoring states acquired by the acquisition unit and the table, and a signal output unit (40) that outputs a stop signal to the peripheral device when it is determined that the peripheral device should be stopped.

[0077] This allows the peripheral device to be stopped only when it is assumed that the user will be able to access the peripheral device, thereby appropriately ensuring the safety of the user with respect to the peripheral device while ensuring user operability.

[0078] The acquisition unit may acquire gate open / closed states of the multiple safety doors detected by open / closed detection sensors (24) provided corresponding to each of the multiple safety doors (22), and the table may associate operation information indicating whether or not operation of the peripheral device is permitted for each combination pattern of the gate open / closed states that can be combined by the multiple open / closed detection sensors, and the determination unit may determine whether or not to stop the peripheral device based on the gate open / closed states acquired by the acquisition unit and the table. This makes it possible to stop the peripheral device only when it is assumed that the user can access the peripheral device through the gate.

[0079] The storage unit may store the table for each system in which the installation positions or the number of the monitoring devices are different, thereby making it possible to appropriately ensure the safety of users with respect to peripheral devices even if the types, arrangements, etc. of peripheral devices change.

[0080] The management device may include a display control unit (44) that displays on a display device a selection screen for selecting the current system from among the multiple systems, and the determination unit may determine whether or not to stop the peripheral device based on the table corresponding to the selected system. This reduces the load required for determination compared to the case where all tables stored for each system are referenced.

[0081] The determination unit may search for the combination pattern that matches the monitoring status, and determine that the peripheral device is to be stopped when the driving information associated with the combination pattern that matches the monitoring status indicates that driving is not permitted. This allows the peripheral device to be stopped only when the driving information associated with the combination pattern indicates that driving is not permitted.

[0082] The management device may include a notification unit (42) that notifies a user of an abnormality when the combination pattern does not match the monitoring status, thereby providing an opportunity for inspection, etc.

[0083] The peripheral device may include at least one of a molded product removal device, a mold mounting device, a mold changing device, or an injection device that injects molding material toward a mold clamping device (18) in the injection molding machine from a direction intersecting the mold closing direction and mold opening direction of the clamping device. This makes it possible to appropriately ensure the safety of a user with respect to the molded product removal device, the mold mounting device, the mold changing device, or the injection device.

[0084] The management device may be provided in the control device (26) of the injection molding machine. In this way, even if a control device other than the control device of the injection molding machine is not provided with a management device, the peripheral devices can be stopped only when it is assumed that the peripheral devices are accessible by the user.

[0085] The management device may be provided in the control device 28 of the peripheral device. In this way, even if the control device of the injection molding machine does not include a management device, the peripheral device can be stopped only when it is assumed that the user can access the peripheral device.
