Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic having good usability and emulsion stability. [Background technology]
[0002] Polyether-modified silicones with an HLB value of 7 or less are widely used as emulsifiers in water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics that mainly use organopolysiloxanes, so-called silicones, as the oil agent, but they have lower orientation at the oil-water interface compared to low molecular weight surfactants, and are known to significantly reduce emulsion stability, especially over time at high temperatures. Therefore, if a large amount of polyether-modified silicone is blended in order to improve emulsion stability over time, the stickiness characteristic of polymer emulsifiers occurs, which is undesirable in terms of usability.
[0003] In response to these problems, attempts have been made to improve emulsion stability over time by using oil-phase thickeners such as organically modified clay minerals and dextrin fatty acid esters (e.g., Patent Documents 1 and 2). However, these emulsion compositions suffer from stickiness peculiar to oil-phase thickeners, which is undesirable in terms of usability.
[0004] Cyclodextrin is a cyclic molecule with glucose as a base unit, and while the outside of the ring is hydrophilic, the internal cavity is hydrophobic. Utilizing this characteristic, an oil-in-water emulsion composition has been disclosed in which an oil agent is encapsulated in the internal cavity of γ-cyclodextrin dispersed in water (Patent Documents 3 and 4). In addition, Patent Document 5 discloses an oil-in-water emulsion composition containing a mixture of three types of α-, β-, and γ-cyclodextrin, polyethylene glycol, and various oily components. These inventions have been studied with the aim of not using surfactants or reducing the amount of surfactant used in order to improve the feel of use in oil-in-water emulsion compositions.
[0005] As mentioned above, cyclodextrin is hydrophilic, so emulsification using the inclusion action of cyclodextrin has been used exclusively in oil-in-water emulsion compositions, and has hardly been studied in water-in-oil emulsion compositions. Patent Document 6 discloses an invention in which cyclodextrin is applied to an aerosol-type water-in-oil deodorant spray, but the use of cyclodextrin in this invention is expected to provide a deodorizing and deodorizing effect by inclusion of odorous components, which is a characteristic of cyclodextrin.
[0006] Under these circumstances, there is a demand for water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics that have good usability and emulsion stability. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0008] The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and has an object to provide a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic having good usability and emulsion stability. [Means for solving the problem]
[0009] In view of the above circumstances, the present inventors have conducted intensive research to solve the above problems, and as a result have found that a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic containing the following components (A) to (D) has a good feel when used and emulsion stability, thereby completing the present invention. (A) at least one member selected from the group consisting of cyclodextrin and its water-soluble derivatives; (B) Polyether-modified silicone with an HLB value of 7 or less (C) Oil (D)Water Effect of the Invention
[0010] The present invention provides a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic that contains cyclodextrin or its water-soluble derivatives, polyether-modified silicone, an oil, and water as essential ingredients. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic that has good usability and emulsion stability.
[0011] The present invention provides a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic which is characterized by extremely high emulsion stability, particularly at high temperatures, and a good feel when used. [Brief description of the drawings]
[0012] [Figure 1] Optical microscope image of the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic immediately after preparation obtained in Example 1 [Diagram 2] Optical microscope image of the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic obtained in Example 1 after 1 month at 50°C [Diagram 3] Optical microscope image of the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic obtained in Comparative Example 1 immediately after preparation [Figure 4] Optical microscope image of the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic obtained in Comparative Example 1 after 1 month at 50°C DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0013] The water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention, which has good usability and emulsion stability, will be described below based on its preferred embodiment. According to the present invention, it is possible to reduce the content of the oil phase thickener that has been conventionally used to improve emulsion stability, and therefore it is possible to provide a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic that has both excellent usability and emulsion stability.
[0014] The component (A) contained in the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it is a cyclodextrin or its water-soluble derivative that is usually used in cosmetics. For example, the widely used α-type, β-type, and γ-type cyclodextrin and its water-soluble derivatives can be mentioned, and examples of the water-soluble derivatives include, but are not limited to, hydroxyethyl cyclodextrin, hydroxypropyl cyclodextrin, glucosyl cyclodextrin, maltosyl cyclodextrin, carboxymethyl cyclodextrin, sulfoxyl cyclodextrin, and sulfoxyethyl cyclodextrin. In addition, these cyclodextrins and their water-soluble derivatives can be used alone or in combination of two or more types.
[0015] In the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention, it is important that a sufficient amount of cyclodextrin is dissolved in water. However, since β-cyclodextrin has extremely low water solubility, it is more preferable that component (A) of the present invention be selected from the group consisting of α-cyclodextrin and / or γ-cyclodextrin and their water-soluble derivatives, and it is most preferable that it be selected from the group consisting of α-cyclodextrin and / or their water-soluble derivatives, which have an optimal pore size that effectively brings about an interaction with component (B) of the present invention.
[0016] The content of component (A) contained in the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention is not particularly limited, but is 0.01 to 10% by weight. It is more preferably 0.1 to 5% by weight, and most preferably 1 to 3% by weight. If it is less than 0.01% by weight, the emulsion stability is insufficient, and if it is more than 10% by weight, the feeling during use may be affected.
[0017] The component (B) contained in the water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic of the present invention mainly acts as an emulsifier, but in the water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic of the present invention, it interacts with the component (A) at the oil-water interface to increase the interfacial orientation and significantly improve the emulsion stability. That is, since the component (B) is preferably highly dispersible in oil compared to the water-soluble component (A), a polyether-modified silicone with a low HLB value can be suitably used. Specifically, it is preferable to use a polyether-modified silicone with an HLB value of 7 or less. If a polyether-modified silicone with an HLB value higher than 7 is used, it will be more locally dispersed in water due to the interaction with the component (A), and the effect of the present invention cannot be obtained. The HLB value described in the present specification is an index indicating the hydrophilic-lipophilic balance, and the numerical value described in the raw material catalog for the corresponding component was adopted for the description. If there is no description in the raw material catalog, it is calculated based on the Griffin method defined in the following mathematical formula 1.
number
[0018] The component (B) contained in the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it is a polyether-modified silicone having an HLB value of 7 or less, which is generally used in cosmetics. Examples include polyoxyalkylene-modified silicone, polyoxyalkylene-alkyl co-modified silicone, polyglycerin-modified silicone, polyglycerin-alkyl co-modified silicone, etc., but are not necessarily limited to these. Furthermore, these polyether-modified silicones may be used alone or in combination of two or more types.
[0019] The polyoxyalkylene-modified silicone used as component (B) contained in the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention includes those having a linear or branched organopolysiloxane as the main skeleton and a polyoxyalkylene group in the side chain. Other examples include ABn-type block copolymers in which organopolysiloxane and polyoxyalkylene chains are linearly linked at both ends, and ABA-type block copolymers in which polyoxyalkylene chains are linearly linked to both ends of organopolysiloxane.
[0020] The polyoxyalkylene / alkyl co-modified silicone used as component (B) contained in the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention includes those having a linear or branched organopolysiloxane main skeleton with polyoxyalkylene groups and alkyl groups in the side chains.
[0021] The polyglycerin-modified silicone used as component (B) contained in the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention includes those having a linear or branched organopolysiloxane as the main skeleton and having polyglycerin groups in the side chains.
[0022] The polyglycerin / alkyl-comodified silicone used as component (B) contained in the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention includes those having a linear or branched organopolysiloxane main skeleton with polyglycerin groups and alkyl groups in the side chains.
[0023] Among these, polyoxyalkylene-modified silicones and polyoxyalkylene-alkyl co-modified silicones are particularly preferred, specifically polysilicone-13, PEG-3 dimethicone, PEG-10 dimethicone, PEG-9 polydimethylsiloxyethyl dimethicone, cetyl PEG / PPG-10 / 1 dimethicone, lauryl PEG-9 polydimethylsiloxyethyl dimethicone, etc., and examples of commercially available products include DOWSIL FZ-2233 manufactured by Dow Corning Toray Co., Ltd., and KF-6015, KF-6017, KF-6028, KF-6048, KF-6038, etc. manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd. Among these, ABn-type block copolymers are most preferred, specifically polysilicone-13, etc.
[0024] The content of component (B) contained in the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention is not particularly limited, but is 0.05 to 15% by weight. It is more preferably 0.1 to 10% by weight, and most preferably 1 to 7.5% by weight. If it is less than 0.05% by weight, the emulsion stability is insufficient, and if it is more than 15% by weight, the feeling during use may be affected.
[0025] The component (C) contained in the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it is an oil agent usually used in cosmetics. For example, isododecane, liquid paraffin, hydrogenated polyisobutene, squalane, petrolatum, microcrystalline wax, ceresin and other hydrocarbons, cetyl alcohol, isostearyl alcohol, oleyl alcohol, 2-hexyldecanol and other higher alcohols, cetyl 2-ethylhexanoate, isotridecyl isononanoate, 2-ethylhexyl palmitate, neopentyl glycol di-2-ethylhexanoate, neopentyl glycol dicaprylate, neopentyl glycol dicaprate, glyceryl tri-2-ethylhexanoate, and the like. Examples of the oil agent include, but are not limited to, glycerin triisostearate, polyglycerin fatty acid ester, pentaerythritol fatty acid ester, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, and other esters, animal and vegetable fats and oils such as olive oil, macadamia nut oil, sunflower oil, and lanolin, fatty acids such as lauric acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid, and stearic acid, wax esters such as beeswax, candelilla wax, and carnauba wax, and silicones such as linear or cyclic dimethylpolysiloxane and methylphenylpolysiloxane. These oil agents may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
[0026] Conventionally, volatile cyclic silicone oils have been widely used in water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics, mainly from the perspective of imparting a good feel to the skin when in use. However, the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention is able to obtain a good feel when in use and emulsion stability without containing the cyclic silicone oil as component (C) of the present invention.
[0027] The content of component (C) contained in the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention is not particularly limited, but is 5 to 85% by weight. It is more preferably 15 to 75% by weight, and most preferably 25 to 65% by weight. If it is less than 5% by weight, the emulsion stability may decrease, and if it is more than 85% by weight, the content of water, which is the internal phase, becomes relatively small, which may affect the solubility of component (A).
[0028] The content of component (D) contained in the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention is not particularly limited, but is 5 to 85% by weight. It is more preferably 15 to 75% by weight, and most preferably 25 to 65% by weight. If it is less than 5% by weight, the solubility of component (A) may be affected, and if it is more than 85% by weight, the emulsion stability may decrease.
[0029] In the present invention, the emulsion stability can be improved by further containing component (E) a zwitterion having a cationic quaternary ammonium center. As the zwitterion having a cationic quaternary ammonium center, betaines are preferably used. Examples of the betaines include betaine (trimethylglycine) and betaine compounds in which the amino group of betaine is modified with a substituent other than a methyl group. Examples of the betaine compound include polymethacryloylethyl betaine.
[0030] The content of component (E) contained in the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention is not particularly limited, but is 0.001 to 5% by weight. It is more preferably 0.01 to 3% by weight, and most preferably 0.1 to 1% by weight. By containing component (E) within this range, emulsion stability can be improved.
[0031] In addition to the above-mentioned components contained in the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention, the cosmetic may contain powders generally used in cosmetics, such as inorganic powders such as talc, sericite, mica, synthetic mica, silica, barium sulfate, alumina, boron nitride, titanium oxide, iron oxide, zinc oxide, etc., and organic powders such as silk powder and crystalline cellulose powder, etc., and one or more of these may be used. Furthermore, these powders may be surface-treated with commonly known treating agents such as fluorine compounds, silicone compounds, surfactants, fatty acids, waxes, etc.
[0032] In addition to the above-mentioned components contained in the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention, other components that are generally used in cosmetics may be contained depending on the intended use, as long as they do not impair the effects of the invention. Examples of such components include humectants, surfactants, fragrances, medicinal ingredients, cooling agents, UV absorbers, stabilizers, antioxidants, preservatives, pH adjusters, viscosity adjusters, cosmetic ingredients, etc.
[0033] However, among the above water retention agents, it is preferable not to include polyethylene glycol, since it is a factor that inhibits the emulsion stability improving effect of the present invention.
[0034] The water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention is prepared by stirring and mixing the components using a device for producing ordinary emulsion cosmetics. Specifically, the oil phase containing components (B) and (C) is uniformly dispersed or dissolved while being appropriately heated. Separately, the aqueous phase containing components (A) and (D) is uniformly dispersed or dissolved while being appropriately heated. The aqueous phase is gradually added to the obtained oil phase and uniformly dispersed to prepare the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention. EXAMPLES
[0035] The water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic of the present invention will be described in more detail below with reference to examples, but the technical scope of the present invention is not limited to these examples. The values in the table mean the content (wt%). The HLB values in the examples and comparative examples were taken from the raw material pamphlets of each company (Beauty Care Emulsifier and Dispersant Selection Guide, published in March 2014 (Dow Corning Toray Co., Ltd.), Cosmetic Silicone, published in October 2018 (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.), Cosmetic Silicone Guide, published in May 2017 (Wacker Asahi Kasei Silicone Co., Ltd.)).
[0036] (Examples 1 to 25 and Comparative Examples 1 to 6) Water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics were produced according to the formulations and preparation methods shown in Tables 1 to 4. The resulting samples were evaluated for usability and emulsion stability using the evaluation methods described below, and the results are also shown in Tables 1 to 4.
[0037] (Preparation method) The oil phase and the aqueous phase shown in Tables 1 to 4 were uniformly dispersed or dissolved at room temperature, respectively, and then the aqueous phase was gradually added to the oil phase with stirring. The mixture was emulsified by operating the homomixer at 5000 rpm for 5 minutes to obtain a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic.

The emulsion is clearly separated and the emulsion particle size is larger than 5μm and is not uniform. ×
[0040] [Table 1] *1: KF-6017 (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.) HLB value 4.5
[0041] From the results in Table 1, water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics excellent in usability and emulsion stability were obtained in Examples 1 to 7. Furthermore, the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics of Examples 1 to 3, which are in the most preferred range of the content of component (A), were particularly excellent in usability and emulsion stability. On the other hand, Comparative Example 1, which does not contain component (A), showed very poor emulsion stability. Furthermore, Comparative Example 2, which does not contain component (B), was unable to emulsify. As an example of emulsion stability evaluation, optical microscope images of the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic obtained in Example 1 immediately after preparation and after one month at 50°C are shown in Figures 1 and 2, and optical microscope images of the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic obtained in Comparative Example 1 immediately after preparation and after one month at 50°C are shown in Figures 3 and 4, respectively.
[0042] [Table 2]
[0043] The results in Table 2 show that in Examples 8 to 11, water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics with excellent usability and emulsion stability were also obtained. Comparing Example 2 in Table 1 with Example 9 in Table 2, Example 2, which contains α-cyclodextrin as component (A), was a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic with better emulsion stability than Example 9, which contains a β-cyclodextrin derivative. Similarly, comparing Example 2 in Table 1 with Example 11 in Table 2, Example 2, which contains α-cyclodextrin, was a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic with better emulsion stability than Example 11, which contains γ-cyclodextrin.
[0044] [Table 3] *2: DOWSIL FZ-2233 (manufactured by Dow Corning Toray) HLB value 3 *3: KF-6038 (Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.) HLB value 3 *4: WO5000 (Asahi Kasei Wacker Silicone) HLB value 6-7
[0045] From the results in Table 3, water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics excellent in usability and emulsion stability were obtained in Examples 12 to 21 as well. Moreover, the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics of Examples 12 and 13, which are in the most preferred content range of component (B), were particularly excellent in usability and emulsion stability. Here, comparing Example 4 in Table 1 with Example 18 in Table 3, Example 18, which contains polysilicone-13, an ABn type block copolymer, was a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic with better emulsion stability than Example 4, which contains PEG-10 dimethicone, a side-chain modified polyoxyalkylene modified silicone. Furthermore, comparing Example 19 with Example 21, Example 19, which contains polyoxyalkylene modified silicone and polyoxyalkylene-alkyl co-modified silicone as component (B), was a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic with better emulsion stability than Example 21, which contains only polyoxyalkylene-alkyl co-modified silicone. On the other hand, in the water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics containing polyglucoside (sucrose) modified silicone (Comparative Examples 3 and 4), the effect of improving emulsion stability due to the inclusion of cyclodextrin was not obtained.
[0046] [Table 4] *5: Aminocoat (manufactured by Asahi Kasei Finechem Corporation) *6: PEG#400 (NOF Corporation)
[0047] From the results in Table 4, in Examples 22 to 25, water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics excellent in usability and emulsion stability were obtained. In Examples 22 and 23, which contain mixed oils with significantly different polarities, good water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics were obtained. In addition, when Example 14 in Table 3 is compared with Example 24 in Table 4, Example 24, which contains betaine corresponding to the component (E) of the present invention, is a water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic with superior emulsion stability compared to Example 14, which does not contain betaine. Conventionally, betaine is blended for the purpose of imparting a moisturizing effect, but it has been shown that the emulsion stability of water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics is synergistically improved by combining the components (A) to (E) of the present invention. On the other hand, when Example 12 in Table 3 is compared with Comparative Example 6 in Table 4, it is found that Comparative Example 6, which contains polyethylene glycol, significantly reduces emulsion stability.
