Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a vehicle seat. [Background technology]
[0002] The vehicle seat described in Patent Document 1 below discloses a technology for preventing the poor appearance caused by the interior of the seat being exposed through through holes in a trim cover formed to accommodate the seat belt buckle and tongue.
[0003] Specifically, in this prior art, the trim cover through hole is formed to have a slit-like opening, and is configured to be expandable by applying force, so that the maximum outer diameter part of the seat belt can be inserted by expanding the trim cover through hole. An elastic member made of rubber formed in a thin, approximately band-like shape along the longitudinal direction of the trim cover through hole is fixed along the back side of the trim cover, so that the trim cover through hole returns to its original slit shape due to the restoring force of the elastic member even if it is expanded. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0004] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 06-278572 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] However, in the above-mentioned prior art, when an escutcheon is provided on the inner edge of the trim cover through hole, the maximum outer diameter portion of the seat belt must be inserted through an opening formed in the escutcheon, and the area of the opening of the escutcheon becomes larger accordingly. In the above-mentioned prior art, since the trim cover through hole is formed in an expandable slit shape, when an escutcheon is provided on the inner edge of the trim cover through hole, the trim cover (skin) is exposed through the opening of the escutcheon, which does not look good.
[0006] In consideration of the above, the present invention aims to provide a vehicle seat in which an escutcheon can be provided on the inner edge of an opening in the cover through which a seat belt or strap can be inserted, without compromising the appearance. [Means for solving the problem]
[0007] The vehicle seat described in claim 1 comprises a seat cushion on which an occupant sits and a padding material provided inside a seat back supporting the upper body of the seated occupant seated on the seat cushion, the padding material having an insertion portion through which a seat belt or a strap for tilting the seat back forward from an upright position of the seat back which can be tilted forward is inserted, a cover covering the padding material and having a first opening formed corresponding to the insertion portion and through which the seat belt or the strap can be inserted, an escutcheon provided on an inner edge of the first opening and having a second opening through which the seat belt or the strap can be inserted, and a sewn member disposed between the coverding material and the padding material and sewn to the coverding material such that a linear slit portion through which the seat belt or the strap can be inserted is positioned inside in a width direction approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the second opening in a plan view.
[0008] The vehicle seat according to claim 1 includes a padding material, a skin, an escutcheon, and a sewn member. The padding material is provided inside the seat cushion and the seat back, and the padding material is provided with an insertion portion through which a seat belt or a strap for tilting the seat back forward from an upright position of the seat back that can be tilted forward is inserted. The skin covers the padding material, and has a first opening through which the seat belt or the strap can be inserted, corresponding to the insertion portion provided in the padding material. The escutcheon is provided on the inner edge of the first opening, and has a second opening through which the seat belt or the strap can be inserted. The sewn member is disposed between the skin and the padding material, and has a linear slit portion through which the seat belt or the strap can be inserted. The sewn member is sewn to the skin so that the slit portion is disposed inside the width direction of the second opening formed in the escutcheon in a plan view. In this way, the sewn member is sewn to the skin, thereby preventing the sewn member from peeling off.
[0009] In the present invention, the escutcheon is provided on the inner edge of the first opening formed in the skin, so that the skin is not exposed through the second opening formed in the escutcheon. On the other hand, in the present invention, the sewn member is sewn to the skin so that the slit portion through which the seat belt or strap can be inserted is located inside the width direction of the second opening formed in the escutcheon in a plan view. Therefore, the sewn member is exposed through the second opening of the escutcheon, but in the present invention, the slit portion formed in the sewn member is formed in a straight line, so that the appearance is not impaired compared to when the skin is exposed through the second opening.
[0010] In this case, the "upright state" refers to any state other than the state in which the seat back is tilted forward, and includes not only the state in which the seat back is positioned approximately perpendicular to the seat cushion, but also the so-called reclining state in which the seat back is tilted backward.
[0011] A vehicle seat according to a second aspect of the present invention is the vehicle seat according to the first aspect, in which the sewn member is black in color.
[0012] In the vehicle seat according to the second aspect, the sewn member exposed through the second opening of the escutcheon is black in color, so that the sewn member can be made less noticeable.
[0013] A vehicle seat according to a third aspect of the present invention is the vehicle seat according to the first or second aspect, in which the sewn member is a cloth member.
[0014] In the vehicle seat according to claim 3, by using a cloth material as the sewn member, for example, scraps cut off during the process of manufacturing the vehicle seat can be utilized, making it possible to utilize materials that would otherwise be disposed of.
[0015] The vehicle seat according to a fourth aspect of the present invention is the vehicle seat according to any one of the first to third aspects, in which the sewn member is provided so that the escutcheon is disposed inside the sewn member in a plan view.
[0016] In the vehicle seat described in claim 4, the sewn member is arranged so that the escutcheon is positioned inside the sewn member in a planar view, and the escutcheon can be provided on the inner edge of the first opening formed in the skin to support the outer edge of the sewn member.
[0017] The vehicle seat described in claim 5 is a vehicle seat described in any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the sewn member has a sewn portion provided to the upholstery along a direction approximately perpendicular to the direction in which the slit portion is formed.
[0018] In the vehicle seat described in claim 5, the sewn member is provided with a sewn portion on the upholstery along a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction in which the slit portion is formed. As a comparative example, for example, if the sewn portion is provided along the direction in which the slit portion is formed in the sewn member, the thread of the sewn portion is pulled by tension acting along the direction in which the slit portion is formed, which may cause the slit portion to open.
[0019] In contrast, in the present invention, as described above, the sewn part is provided on the epidermis along a direction approximately perpendicular to the direction in which the slit part is formed, so that the opening of the slit part caused by the tension in the sewn part can be suppressed.
[0020] The vehicle seat described in claim 6 is the vehicle seat described in any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the upholstery is made up of a plurality of parts, and the sewn portion is sewn together to a upholstery sewn portion where the parts are sewn together.
[0021] In the vehicle seat described in claim 6, the cover is made up of a plurality of parts, and the stitching is co-sewn to the cover stitching where the parts are sewn together. This provides better workability than a case in which the sewn material is sewn separately to be sewn to the cover. It is also preferable from a design standpoint, since only the originally required stitching for the cover is required.
[0022] The vehicle seat according to a seventh aspect of the present invention is the vehicle seat according to any one of the first to sixth aspects, wherein an inner edge of the insertion portion is provided outside the second opening in a plan view.
[0023] In the vehicle seat described in claim 7, the inner edge of the insertion portion formed in the padding material is located outside the second opening formed in the escutcheon when viewed in a plane, thereby making it possible to prevent the padding material from being seen through the second opening of the escutcheon and the slit portion of the sewn material.
[0024] The vehicle seat according to claim 8 is the vehicle seat according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein an end portion in a longitudinal direction of the slit portion is provided outside the second opening portion in a plan view.
[0025] In the vehicle seat described in claim 8, the longitudinal end of the slit portion formed in the sewn member is provided outside the second opening formed in the escutcheon in a plan view, so that the seat belt or strap does not come into contact with the end of the slit portion, and therefore it is not necessary to provide a stopping hole at the end of the slit portion, thereby improving workability.
[0026] The vehicle seat described in claim 9 is the vehicle seat described in any one of claims 1 to 8, in which a hanging portion covers an inner edge of the first opening and hangs down from an inner edge of the second opening formed in the escutcheon.
[0027] In the vehicle seat described in claim 9, a hanging part hangs down from an inner edge of the second opening formed in the escutcheon, and the hanging part covers an inner edge of the first opening formed in the upholstery. This makes it possible to prevent the upholstery from being seen through the second opening of the escutcheon. Effect of the Invention
[0028] According to the vehicle seat of claim 1, an escutcheon can be provided on the inner edge of the opening in the cover through which the seat belt or strap can be inserted, without impairing the appearance.
[0029] According to the vehicle seat of claim 2, even if the sewn member is exposed to the outside, the sewn member can be made less noticeable.
[0030] According to the vehicle seat described in claim 3, by utilizing scraps cut during the manufacturing process of the vehicle seat, costs can be reduced compared to when using dedicated materials as the sewn members.
[0031] According to the vehicle seat described in claim 4, by providing an escutcheon on the inner edge of the first opening formed in the skin, the outer edge of the sewn material is supported, thereby preventing the outer edge of the sewn material from twisting.
[0032] According to the vehicle seat of claim 5, it is possible to suppress the opening of the slit portion caused by tension acting in the direction in which the slit portion is formed.
[0033] According to the vehicle seat described in claim 6, the sewn portion is sewn together with the upholstery sewn portion at which the parts constituting the upholstery are sewn together, thereby improving workability compared to when the sewn portion is sewn separately.
[0034] According to the vehicle seat recited in claim 7, the padding can be made invisible from the outside.
[0035] According to the vehicle seat recited in claim 8, the workability is improved, thereby making it possible to suppress an increase in costs.
[0036] According to the vehicle seat recited in claim 9, the covering can be made invisible from the outside. [Brief description of the drawings]

[Diagram 2] 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line AA shown in FIG. 1. [Diagram 3] 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along line BB shown in FIG. 1. [Figure 4] 1 is a plan view showing a main portion of a rear seat applied to a vehicle seat according to an embodiment of the present invention; [Diagram 5] 1 is an enlarged plan view showing a main portion of a rear seat applied to a vehicle seat according to an embodiment of the present invention; [Figure 6] 6 is an enlarged plan view of a main part corresponding to FIG. 5 and showing a comparative example. FIG. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0038] Hereinafter, a vehicle seat according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Note that the arrows FR, UP, and RH shown in each drawing indicate the front (traveling direction), upper, and right of the vehicle, respectively. Hereinafter, when the directions of front / rear, left / right, and up / down are simply used in the description, they refer to front / rear in the front / rear direction of the vehicle, up / down in the up / down direction of the vehicle, and left / right in the left / right direction of the vehicle (vehicle width direction), unless otherwise specified.
[0039] (Vehicle seat configuration) First, the configuration of the vehicle seat according to this embodiment will be described.
[0040] 1, a rear seat 10 as a vehicle seat is arranged in the second or third row in the vehicle interior. Note that, although a separate type seat is used here, it goes without saying that a bench type seat may also be used.
[0041] The rear seat 10 includes a seat cushion 12 on which an occupant sits, and a seat back 14 that supports the upper body of the occupant seated on the seat cushion 12. The rear seat 10 also includes a reclining mechanism, and the seat back 14 is rotatable around the axis of a rear frame (not shown) that is provided at the rear end of the seat cushion 12 and disposed along the vehicle width direction. This allows the seat back 14 to rotate from an upright state, including a so-called reclined state, in which the seat back 14 is tilted backward with respect to the seat cushion 12, to a forward-tilted state in which the seat back 14 is tilted forward.
[0042] The reclining mechanism is equipped with a locking mechanism and an operating lever, not shown, and the locking mechanism enables the seat back 14 to be locked and held at a predetermined angle relative to the seat cushion 12. Meanwhile, the operating lever is directly or indirectly connected to the locking mechanism, and operation of the operating lever releases the locked state of the seat back 14, allowing the seat back 14 to rotate.
[0043] On the other hand, a band-shaped strap 16 is exposed toward the rear of the vehicle from an upper end portion 14A of the seat back 14 on the outer side in the vehicle width direction. This strap 16 is directly or indirectly connected to a locking mechanism, and by pulling the strap 16 toward the rear of the vehicle, the locked state by the locking mechanism is released and the seat back 14 becomes rotatable.
[0044] The seat back 14 includes a seat back frame 15 (see FIG. 2) that forms the framework of the seat back 14, and a cushioning padding material 18 made of urethane or the like is provided on the front side of the seat back frame 15, and the surface of the padding material 18 is covered with a trim cover (skin) 20 including a resin cover. Note that FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line AA shown in FIG. 1.
[0045] 2, the trim cover 20 and the padding 18 are provided with an opening (first opening) 22, the longitudinal direction of which is the seat width direction, into which the strap 16 can be inserted, and an insertion portion 24. The opening 22 is formed at a position overlapping (corresponding to) the insertion portion 24 in a plan view, and the strap 16 is connected to the locking mechanism through the opening 22 and the insertion portion 24. An elliptical (so-called oval) escutcheon 26, the longitudinal direction of which is the seat width direction, is provided on an inner edge portion 22A of the opening 22 formed in the trim cover 20.
[0046] The escutcheon 26 has a main body 28 exposed to the outside, and an opening (second opening) 30 with its longitudinal direction aligned with the sheet width direction is formed inside the main body 28. This opening 30 is formed at a position overlapping (corresponding to) the insertion portion 24 in a plan view, allowing the strap 16 to be inserted through the opening 30. Also, the inner edge 24A of the insertion portion 24 is provided outside the opening 30 formed in the escutcheon 26 in a plan view.
[0047] Further, the escutcheon 26 is provided with a clamping portion 32 below the main body portion 28, and the inner edge portion 22A of the opening 22 formed in the trim cover 20 is clamped between the main body portion 28 and the clamping portion 32. A leg portion 34 hangs down from the rear surface of the main body portion 28, and the leg portion 34 penetrates the trim cover 20 and the clamping portion 32, thereby suppressing relative movement between the trim cover 20 and the escutcheon 26.
[0048] Furthermore, the tip of the leg portion 34 bites into the pad material 18, and in this state, the escutcheon 26 is held against the pad material 18. Furthermore, a hanging portion 36 hangs down from an inner edge 30A of an opening 30 formed in the main body portion 28 along the shape of the opening 30, and the hanging portion 36 covers an inner edge 22A1 of the trim cover 20.
[0049] In this embodiment, a black nonwoven fabric (sewn member) 38 is provided between the trim cover 20 and the padding material 18 at the upper end portion 14A on the outer side in the vehicle width direction of the seat back 14. As shown in Fig. 4, the nonwoven fabric 38 has a substantially rectangular shape with the longitudinal direction being the vehicle width direction, and a linear slit portion 40 through which the strap 16 can be inserted is formed in the nonwoven fabric 38.
[0050] The nonwoven fabric 38 is positioned on the widthwise inside of the opening 30 formed in the escutcheon 26, with the slit portion 40 in a planar view, and a sewing portion 42 is provided for the trim cover 20 along a direction (in this embodiment, the vehicle fore-and-aft direction) that is approximately perpendicular to the direction in which the slit portion 40 is formed (in this embodiment, the vehicle width direction).
[0051] Meanwhile, the trim cover 20 is composed of a plurality of parts 20A, 20B, and 20C, and the parts 20A and 20B, and the parts 20B and 20C are sewn together and integrated by a sewn portion 44. In this embodiment, the sewn portion 42 is sewn together with the sewn portion 44.
[0052] (Function and Effects of Vehicle Seats) Next, the operation and effects of the vehicle seat according to this embodiment will be described.
[0053] 2, in this embodiment, the padding 18 constituting the interior of the seat back 14 of the rear seat 10 is provided with an insertion portion 24 through which the strap 16 for tilting the seat back 14 forward is inserted. Also, the trim cover 20 covering the padding 18 is formed with an opening 22 through which the strap 16 can be inserted, corresponding to the insertion portion 24 provided in the padding 18. An escutcheon 26 is provided on the inner edge 22A of the opening 22, and the escutcheon 26 is formed with an opening 30 through which the strap 16 can be inserted.
[0054] In this embodiment, a black nonwoven fabric 38 is disposed between the trim cover 20 and the padding 18, and a linear slit portion 40 through which the strap 16 can be inserted is formed in the nonwoven fabric 38. As shown in Fig. 4, the nonwoven fabric 38 is sewn to the trim cover 20 via a sewn portion 42 so that the slit portion 40 is positioned on the inner side in the width direction of the opening 30 formed in the escutcheon 26 in a plan view.
[0055] In this manner, in the present embodiment, by sewing the nonwoven fabric 38 to the trim cover 20, the nonwoven fabric 38 can be prevented from peeling off, compared to when the nonwoven fabric 38 is adhered to the trim cover 20.
[0056] In addition, in this embodiment, the escutcheon 26 is provided on the inner edge portion 22A of the opening 22 formed in the trim cover 20, and therefore the trim cover 20 is not exposed through the opening 30 formed in the escutcheon 26. Meanwhile, in this embodiment, the nonwoven fabric 38 is sewn to the trim cover 20 so that the slit portion 40 through which the strap 16 can be inserted is positioned on the inside in the width direction of the opening 30 formed in the escutcheon 26 in a plan view.
[0057] For this reason, in this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 5, the nonwoven fabric 38 is exposed through the opening 30 of the escutcheon 26. However, since the slit portion 40 formed in the nonwoven fabric 38 is formed in a straight line, the appearance is not impaired in this embodiment compared to the comparative example shown in FIG. 6, in which the trim cover 104 and the padding material 106 are exposed through the opening 102 of the escutcheon 100.
[0058] That is, in this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 5, an escutcheon 26 can be provided on the inner edge 22A of the opening 22 of the trim cover 20, through which the strap 16 can be inserted, as shown in FIG. 4, without compromising the appearance.
[0059] In this embodiment, the nonwoven fabric 38 is black in color, which makes the nonwoven fabric 38 exposed through the opening 30 of the escutcheon 26 less noticeable, as shown in FIG.
[0060] Furthermore, in this embodiment, a nonwoven fabric (cloth member) 38 is used as the sewn member. Therefore, for example, scraps cut during the manufacturing process of the rear seat 10 can be used as the sewn member. This makes it possible to utilize materials that would otherwise be disposed of. In this way, by using scraps cut during the manufacturing process of the rear seat 10, costs can be reduced compared to the case where a dedicated member is used as the nonwoven fabric 38.
[0061] 4, the nonwoven fabric 38 is provided such that the escutcheon 26 is disposed inside the nonwoven fabric 38 in a plan view. In this manner, by providing the escutcheon 26 on the inner edge portion 22A of the opening 22 formed in the trim cover 20, the outer edge portion 46 of the nonwoven fabric 38 can be supported.
[0062] This prevents the outer edge 46 of the nonwoven fabric 38 from twisting. In particular, in this embodiment, since sewing is not performed in the direction along the longitudinal direction of the nonwoven fabric 38 (the vehicle width direction in this embodiment) as described below, supporting the outer edge 46 of the nonwoven fabric 38 with the escutcheon 26 is also effective as a substitute for sewing.
[0063] Here, as a comparative example (not shown), if a sewing portion is provided along the direction in which the slit portion 40 is formed in the nonwoven fabric 38, the thread of the sewing portion may be pulled by the tension generated by the sewing, causing the slit portion 40 to open.
[0064] 4, the nonwoven fabric 38 is provided with a sewn portion 42 on the trim cover 20 along a direction (vehicle front-rear direction in this embodiment) substantially perpendicular to the direction in which the slit portion 40 is formed (vehicle width direction in this embodiment), so that the opening of the slit portion 40 caused by tension due to sewing can be suppressed.
[0065] In addition, since the sewing portion 42 for the trim cover 20 is provided in the nonwoven fabric 38 only along a direction that is approximately perpendicular to the direction in which the slit portion 40 is formed, the sewing length is reduced compared to a case in which the sewing portion is provided around the entire circumference of the nonwoven fabric 38, which contributes to cost reduction.
[0066] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the trim cover 20 is composed of multiple parts 20A, 20B, and 20C, and the sewn part 42 is sewn together with the sewn part 44 for the skin, which is formed by sewing the parts 20A and 20B together, and the parts 20B and 20C together. This provides better workability than a case in which the nonwoven fabric 38 is sewn separately to the trim cover 20, and is also preferable from the viewpoint of design, since only the originally required sewn part 44 for the skin is required.
[0067] 2, in this embodiment, the inner edge 24A of the insertion portion 24 formed in the padding 18 is provided outside the opening 30 formed in the escutcheon 26 in a plan view, thereby making it possible to prevent the padding 18 from being seen through the opening 30 of the escutcheon 26 and the slit portion 40 of the nonwoven fabric 38. That is, in this embodiment, the internal padding 18 can be prevented from being seen regardless of the operation of the occupant, making it possible to suppress a decrease in merchantability.
[0068] Furthermore, in this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 4, a longitudinal end 40A of the slit portion 40 formed in the nonwoven fabric 38 is provided outside the opening 30 formed in the escutcheon 26 in a plan view.
[0069] As a result, even if the strap 16 is moved back and forth or left and right, the strap 16 will abut against the escutcheon 26, preventing the end of the slit portion 40 from breaking due to the sliding of the strap 16 and suppressing deterioration of the appearance due to the end of the slit portion 40 being broken.
[0070] In addition, in this embodiment, since the strap 16 does not come into contact with the end 40A of the slit portion 40, there is no need to provide a stopping hole in the end 40A of the slit portion 40. This improves workability and suppresses the increase in cost associated with adding the nonwoven fabric 38.
[0071] 2, in this embodiment, a hanging portion 36 hangs down from an inner edge 30A of the opening 30 formed in the escutcheon 26, and the inner edge 22A1 of the opening 22 formed in the trim cover 20 is covered by the hanging portion 36. This makes it possible for the trim cover 20 to be invisible even through a slit portion 40 formed in the nonwoven fabric 38.
[0072] (Supplementary Note on This Embodiment) In this embodiment, black nonwoven fabric 38 is used as the sewn member, but the nonwoven fabric 38 does not necessarily have to be black. If the nonwoven fabric 38 is black, the nonwoven fabric 38 will be less noticeable even if exposed through the opening 30 of the escutcheon 26. However, the nonwoven fabric 38 may be made to be a part of the design of the seat back 14 by using a conspicuous color for the nonwoven fabric 38.
[0073] In the present embodiment, the nonwoven fabric 38 is used as the sewn material, but the material is not limited to nonwoven fabric. For example, the sewn material may be a cloth material such as canvas, or may be made of resin fiber.
[0074] In this embodiment, as shown in Fig. 4, the nonwoven fabric 38 is provided so that the escutcheon 26 is disposed inside the nonwoven fabric 38 in a plan view, but this is not necessarily limited to this. For example, a part of the escutcheon 26 may be disposed outside the nonwoven fabric 38 in a plan view.
[0075] In this embodiment, the nonwoven fabric 38 has the sewn portion 42 provided to the trim cover 20 along a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction in which the slit portion 40 is formed, but this is not necessarily limited to this as long as the slit portion 40 does not open. For example, the sewn portion 42 may be provided along a diagonal direction to the direction in which the slit portion 40 is formed, or a part of the sewn portion may be sewn parallel to the slit portion 40. In addition, the sewn portion 42 is not limited to being linear.
[0076] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the sewn part 42 is sewn together with the sewn part for the skin 44, but this is not necessarily limited to this. The sewn part 42 may be formed separately from the sewn part for the skin 44. In this case, by providing the sewn part 42 separately from the sewn part for the skin 44, the sewn part 42 can be used as part of the design.
[0077] In addition, in this embodiment, as shown in Figure 2, a hanging portion 36 hangs down from the inner edge 30A of the opening 30 of the escutcheon 26, but the hanging portion 36 is not necessarily required, and the shape of the escutcheon 26 is not limited to this.
[0078] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the strap 16 has been described, but it goes without saying that the present invention may also be applied to a seat belt.
[0079] Although one embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above, and various modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention. It goes without saying that the scope of the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment. [Explanation of symbols]
