AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Conventional numerical control devices restrict machine tool startups unnecessarily when the relocation detector's auxiliary battery runs out due to accidental disconnection of power cables, requiring manual intervention to lift operational restrictions.

Method used

The numerical control device incorporates a housing with a support plate and a connection mechanism that locks the power cable, making it difficult for operators to accidentally disconnect the cable by positioning the unlocking mechanism on the support plate side, thus preventing unintended cable removal.

Benefits of technology

This design effectively prevents operators from accidentally removing power cables, reducing unnecessary startup restrictions and simplifying operations by making it harder to operate the unlocking mechanism inadvertently.

Abstract

To provide a numerical control device and a machine tool, which suppress a careless removal of a cable by a worker more than a conventional device.SOLUTION: A numerical control device comprises a housing, a base plate 46, a connection mechanism 50, and a support plate 60. The housing accommodates an electrical member involved in an operation of a machine tool. The electrical member has the base plate 46. The connection mechanism 50 has a connection portion 51 and a lock portion 52. The connection portion 51 connects with a cable which supplies electric power to the base plate 46. The lock portion 52 locks the cable connected to the connection portion 51. The support plate 60 supports the base plate 46 within the housing. An unlocking portion that unlocks the lock portion 52 is positioned on the side of the support plate 60 with respect to the base plate 46.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
