AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Conventional scroll compressors face challenges in achieving high compression efficiency and quietness while maintaining a large back pressure chamber, which is essential for preventing refrigerant leakage and noise caused by discharge pulsation. Additionally, miniaturization of these compressors is difficult due to the need for a large back pressure chamber.

Method used

The scroll compressor design includes a housing with a fixed block and a movable scroll, where the first and second storage grooves and their corresponding sealing members form a back pressure chamber. The first and second protrusions are arranged to avoid the rotation prevention mechanism and suction passage, respectively, allowing for a larger back pressure chamber without increasing the compressor's size.

Benefits of technology

This design achieves excellent compression efficiency and quietness while enabling miniaturization, as the large back pressure chamber effectively biases the movable scroll towards the compression chamber, preventing refrigerant leakage and noise.

Abstract

To provide a scroll compressor excellent in compression efficiency and quietness, and capable of realizing downsizing.SOLUTION: A compressor of the present invention comprises a housing 1, a drive shaft 5, and a movable scroll 11. The housing 1 has a fixed block 15, and the drive shaft 5 is rotatably inserted into the fixed block 15. The fixed block 15 and the movable scroll 11 are connected by an anti-rotation mechanism 16. The fixed block 15 is provided with a first accommodation groove 57 and a second accommodation groove 59. The first accommodation groove 57 has first protrusion parts 57a to 57d that protrude in a radial direction of the drive shaft 5 toward the second accommodation groove 59. The second accommodation groove 59 has second protrusion parts 59a to 59d that protrude in the radial direction toward the first accommodation groove 57. When the fixed block 15 is viewed from a direction of a drive shaft center O, the first protrusion parts 57a to 57d and the second protrusion parts 59a to 59d are arranged offset in a circumferential direction of the drive shaft 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
