Method for producing hydroentangled nonwoven fabric

The problem of easy surface fuzzing in the prior art is solved by using nozzle plates of specific drainage holes in the pretreatment step of the fiber web to perform water flow treatment and in the subsequent steps to re-apply the water flow to strengthen the three-dimensional interlaced structure between the fibers, and the problem of easy surface fuzzing in the prior art is solved, achieving high-quality hydroentangled nonwoven fabric, suitable for surface materials for disposable diapers and sanitary napkins.

AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

The prior art is difficult to obtain hydro-interfound nonwoven fabric with difficult surface fuzzing, especially suitable for surface materials for disposable diapers and sanitary napkins.

Method used

The web is water flow treated by using nozzle plates of specific drainage holes in the pretreatment step and in a subsequent step the water flow is again applied to strengthen the three-dimensional interlaced structure between the fibers.

Benefits of technology

The hydroentangled nonwoven fabric with a surface that is not easy to fuzz, strengthens the interlaced structure between fibers and is suitable for high-quality disposable diapers and sanitary napkin surface materials.

Abstract

To provide a method to obtain a water-flow interlacing nonwoven fabric whose surface is hard to be fuzzed.SOLUTION: A fiber fleece is obtained by applying water flow to a short fiber web made of cotton fibers as constituent fibers. Water flow ejected from a first nozzle plate is applied to the fiber fleece in a first post-process. The first nozzle plate has a plurality of water-flow ejection holes 1 that are arranged at regular intervals in a line in a width direction of the fiber fleece. Area of a water-flow outlet 2 of the water-flow ejection hole 1 is smaller than area of a water-flow inlet 3. Water flow is applied at a second post-process immediately after the first post-process. The water flow ejected from a second nozzle plate is applied to the fiber fleece in the second post-process. The second nozzle plate also has the same water-flow ejection holes 1 as the first nozzle plate. A three-dimensional interlacing between cotton fibers becomes stronger by the first and second post-processes. As a result, water-flow interlacing nonwoven fabric that is hard to be fuzzed can be obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
