AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing masks often have gaps between the mask and the skin around the lower jaw and cheek, allowing fine particles such as pollen, PM2.5, and bacteria to penetrate and be inhaled.

Method used

The mask design features a string-like portion joined to the mask body, with a lower end welding line that protrudes downward and is positioned below the mask's vertical center line, ensuring the mask body is pulled back to abut the lower jaw, thus eliminating gaps between the mask and the skin.

Benefits of technology

This design effectively brings the mask into close contact with the skin from the lower jaw to the cheek, preventing fine particles from entering the mask and being inhaled.

Abstract

To provide a mask that can closely adhere to a skin from a lower jaw to cheeks.SOLUTION: The mask includes: a mask main body that covers an object part on a face of a wearer; and strap-like parts provided on the mask main body. The mask main body includes multiple pleat parts and a lower end side welding line. The pleat parts extend in the longitudinal direction and are formed of filter paper that forms the mask main body being folded pleat-like, thereby allowing them to be vertically opened. The lower end side welding line is provided under a traverse center line that is a center line in the vertical direction of the mask main body and is like a downward projecting arc. The strap-like parts and the lower end side welding line intersect, or the extended line of the strap-like parts and the lower end side welding line intersect. The strap-like part is connected to the mask main body at two points, top and bottom. Out of the two connection parts, the lower side connection part is located on or under the lower end side welding line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
