Abstract

To prevent the leakage of a working fluid into a minute clearance between an internal peripheral face of a gear case and an external peripheral face of a salient part of a gear cover, in a gear pump or a gear motor.SOLUTION: A gear pump or a gear motor comprises a gear case 1 having an accommodation space 2 for accommodating a first gear 11 and a second gear 12, and gear covers 3, 4 connected to the gear case 1 so as to close an open portion of the accommodation space 2. The gear covers 3, 4 have salient parts 5, 6 intruding into the accommodation space 2 so as to be fit to an internal peripheral face 1a forming the accommodation space 2 in the gear case 1 when connected to the gear case 1. Also, there is arranged a pressing tool attachment part 17 to which a pressing tool 18 for press-operating the gear case 1 or the gear covers 3, 4 so that the internal peripheral face 1a and external peripheral faces 5a, 6a of the salient parts 5, 6 are crimped to each is attached.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
