AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing wear suppression devices for linear members connected to moving bodies in deep sewer pipes require long cable guides, which are difficult to prepare and handle, and result in wear and potential breakage due to contact with sewer pipe walls and edges.

Method used

A wear suppression device comprising a linear member, a drooping member, and a directional change member that maintains the linear member and drooping member at a specified distance, changing the orientation of the linear member to prevent contact with the sewer pipe walls and edges, using easily bent materials like strings and ropes for the drooping member.

Benefits of technology

The solution effectively prevents wear and potential breakage of the linear member by maintaining a safe distance from the sewer pipe walls and edges, even in deep positions, and simplifies preparation and handling by using easily bent materials.

Abstract

To provide a wear suppressing device for a linear member which can prevent contact with a wall surface of a manhole or an edge of a sewer pipe even when moving a movable body connected to the linear member into a deep sewer pipe.SOLUTION: A wear suppressing device for a linear member comprises: a linear member suspended from an entrance of a space to a lower space of the space and connected to a movable body that moves laterally in the lower space; a hanging member that is suspended from the entrance of the space to the lower space, and a direction changing member that engages the linear member and the hanging member, keeps the linear member and the hanging member at a predetermined distance, changes an orientation of the linear member with respect to the hanging member, and suppresses wear of the linear member connected to the movable body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
