To reduce the amount of transfer of data between a server device and an image forming apparatus to prevent a delay in print start time.SOLUTION: An acquisition unit acquires an image to be composed stored in an external apparatus such as a server device via a network. A composition processing unit performs processing of composing the acquired image to be composed with an a composition destination image to form a composite image. An output control unit, for example, prints and outputs the formed composite image.
