Abstract

To provide a pruning branch shredder which is capable of easily shredding even thick branches, and capable of finely shredding also narrow branches, in shredding pruning branches.SOLUTION: A pruning branch shredder includes: a rotary shaft 4 rotatably provided in a casing 2 for housing a pruning branch; a rotary blade 5 swingably provided on the circumference of the rotary shaft 4; and a fixed blade 6 provided in the casing 2 to shred a pruning branch sandwiched between the fixed blade and the rotary blade 5. Further, in the case that a maximum rotation region when rotating the rotary blade 5 is overlapped with the fixed blade 6 by a first overlapping amount and that the rotary blade 5 is swung to a maximal degree so as to retreat from the fixed blade 6, a second overlapping amount smaller than the first overlapping amount is used to overlap the fixed blade 6. Then, regarding a thick branch held by the fixing blade 5, notches are formed therein using the swinging rotary blade 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
