To suppress increase in power consumption.SOLUTION: A transmission / reception circuit comprises: a transmission unit that outputs a first waveform including N (N is a natural number equal to or greater than two) pulse waveforms in response to an input signal; a transmitting unit that transmits the first waveform as a second waveform including at least N+1 pulse waveforms by electromagnetic field coupling; and a reception unit that receives the second waveform to determine the input signal at least on the basis of the N+1 pulse waveforms.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
