Method for producing polyhydroxyalkanoate sheet and its use

Abstract

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a production method capable of obtaining a PHA sheet using a simple operation as an alternative to spray drying. The aforestated problem is overcome by providing a method for producing a polyhydroxyalkanoate sheet comprising: (a) a step for preparing an aqueous polyhydroxyalkanoate suspension having a pH of 7 or lower and (b) a step for using a heating and pressing device to heat and pressurize the aqueous polyhydroxyalkanoate suspension prepared in step (a).
