Assembly lines for manufactured articles and associated methods, in particular for the industrial manufacture of clothing

Abstract

The present invention relates to an assembly line (1). The assembly line (1) comprises a conveyor line (5), a number of processing stations (S1-S3, N1-N13) and a number of multilevel sorting units (6) carried by the conveyor line (5). Each sorting unit comprises a number of superimposed trays adapted to support parts (P1-P3) of a manufactured article to be assembled in succession at the processing stations and which can be selectively withdrawn. Each tray is adapted to receive a part of a manufactured article to be assembled at a respective processing station of the manufactured article. The assembly line also includes means for identifying the trays withdrawn at at least one respective processing station.
