Abstract

SOLUTION: To provide an information transmission method, an apparatus, a terminal, and a network side device for reducing signaling overheads and energy consumption.EFFECT: In a radio communications system, a method includes: sending configuration information of a multicast-broadcast service (MBS) service to UE through dedicated radio resource control (RRC) signaling; and indicating occurrence of a change in a configuration of the MBS service through a short message mechanism or the like. Compared with the periodic transmission of a broadcast control channel (MCCH) and a single cell broadcast control channel (SC-MCCH), the dedicated RRC signaling is sent as needed by each terminal, thereby reducing signaling overheads and energy consumption in certain cases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
