Abstract

The present disclosure relates to an information processing device, a mobile terminal, and an information processing method which enable information processing to be executed more reliably. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is used to transmit a beacon, which is a signal for detecting a mobile terminal in the BLE communication range. Ultra Wide Band (UWB) is used to perform ranging processing to measure, at least, the distance to a UWB gate unit provided with a fare calculation zone for performing fare settlement processing with the mobile terminal. Then, when it has been detected, on the basis of the result of the ranging processing employing UWB, that the mobile terminal has entered the fare calculation zone, data communication for settlement employing UWB is performed between the UWB gate unit and the mobile terminal. This technology is applicable, for example, to touchless fare settlement systems employing BLE and UWB.
