Drying system and drying method using superheated steam

Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a batch-type superheated steam circulation drying system for producing a dried product of high quality.SOLUTION: There is provided a drying system 1 using superheated steam, comprising: a circulation circuit 6 through which superheated steam for drying a drying object present in a drying furnace 2 repeatedly flows into the drying furnace 2; a fan 8 for circulating superheated steam in the circulation circuit 6; an exhaust port 10 provided on a specified position in the circulation circuit 6 to release a portion of steam flowing out of the drying furnace 2 from the circulation circuit 6; a boiler 16 fluidly communicating with the circulation circuit 6 so as to be able to supply steam into the circulation circuit 6; and a heater 18 for heating steam present in the circulation circuit to generate superheated steam. The amount of steam to be supplied into the circulation circuit 6 from the boiler 16 is controlled in such a way that the pressure in the drying furnace 2 changing according to the amount of released steam, does not fall negative relative to the environmental pressure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
