Abstract

Provided is a method for producing polytetrafluoroethylene particles which involves producing polytetrafluoroethylene particles by preparing suspension-polymerized particles of polytetrafluoroethylene by suspension-polymerizing tetrafluoroethylene in an aqueous medium, preparing crushed particles by cleaning the suspension-polymerized particles, and thereafter, crushing the same, or cleaning the suspension-polymerized particles while crushing the same, preparing crushed particles having a water content of 40 mass% or less by dehydrating the crushed particles, and heat-treating the dehydrated crushed particles.
