Abstract

To provide a rear rubber for toothed belts and a toothed belt which are provided with heat resistance and cold resistance, and exhibit sufficient toughness to flexure even left under a low temperature environment for a long time.SOLUTION: A toothed belt is provided with a tooth rubber 14 in which a tooth part 12 and a tooth bottom part 13 are alternately formed along a longer direction of a belt body 11 on a front surface side of the belt body 11, and is provided with a planar rear rubber 15 on a back surface side. The rear rubber 15 is obtained by blending 25 pts.mass or larger of an unsaturated carboxylic acid salt relative to 100 pts.mass of a hydrogenated nitrile rubber having a binding acrylonitrile content of 25% or smaller without using a crosslinking aide.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
