Abstract

To provide a printer device capable of presenting a saving amount of an ink ribbon.SOLUTION: A thermal transfer printer (printer device) comprises: a printing data pre-reading unit that pre-reads a data printing position when printing is carried out; a head position control unit that sets a thermal head, an ink ribbon, and a printing sheet in an abutment state or non-abutment state on the basis of the pre-reading result of the printing data pre-reading unit; an ink ribbon saving amount calculation unit that calculates a saving amount of the ink ribbon on the basis of a conveying amount of the printing sheet in the non-abutment state; and an ink ribbon saving amount display unit that displays the saving amount calculated by the ink ribbon saving amount calculation unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
