Abstract
To provide a bridge cable inspection method that can detect abnormalities in strands inside bridge cables with high accuracy, and an inspection device therefor.SOLUTION: While a cable inspection device 1 moves along a cable 6, an electromagnetic wave radar device being an inspection device 17 searches for moisture in the cable 6, and an imaging device 16 photographs the surface of the cable 6. When moisture is detected in the cable 6 by the electromagnetic wave radar device, the shape of steel wires in the cable 6 is confirmed by an eddy current flaw detector being the inspection device 17 at the position where the moisture is detected and the position where the deformation on the surface of the cable 6 is detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5A
