Abstract

The present invention provides a carbon dioxide gas-shielded arc welding wire and a welding method using the same, which can improve the removability of slag adhering to the bead surface after welding while maintaining the toughness of the weld metal.The welding wire is used for positive carbon dioxide gas-shielded arc welding and has a chemical composition, in mass %, of 0.200% or less of C, 0.05% to 2.50% of Si, 0.25% to 3.50% of Mn, 0.050% or less of P, 0.050% or less of S, 0.02% to 3.00% of Al, 0.0100% or less of O (oxygen), 0.0050% or less of Ca, and 0.010% to 0.100% of REM, of which 0.0015% to 0.0200% of Nd is contained, with the balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities. The present invention also provides a carbon dioxide gas shielded arc welding method using the welding wire and a gas having a CO2 concentration of 60% by volume or more as a shielding gas, in which welding is performed with positive polarity.
