Abstract
To provide an electronic control unit capable of determining failure of current detection resistor while restricting increase of current consumption.SOLUTION: An ECU 100a includes: two step-down circuits 30, 40 connected in series having current detection resistors 36, 41; and a failure determination circuit 20 for determining failure of the first current detection resistor 36 in the first step-down circuit based on current detection signals I1, I2 from each of the step-down circuits. Each power supply circuit 30 detects current by the current detection resistor included in each power supply circuit, and outputs the current detection signals I1, I2 indicating whether or not current is flowing. The failure determination circuit determines that the first current detection resistor is in failure if the second current detection signal I2 indicating that current is flowing from the second step-down circuit is inputted and the first current detection signal I1 indicating that current is not flowing from the first step-down circuit is inputted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
